    Under bonnet insulation - mouse damage

    I've had a mouse in the van and it's chewed up the under bonnet insulation that sits over the battery. I presume this is just sound damping? Are replacements readily available? Peppermint oil, chilli infused wiring tape and traps have been employed.

    I have not seen that. is it that you line and insulate with sheep's fleece? Sheep's fleece is sometimes used here as house insulation instead of manufactured products. Afraid I can not help with your technical question but others should.:)

    I’ve just used dodomat 12mm thermo liner on my roof panels. Is it recommended to also add some further insulation on top or does that suffice?

    How good is my insulation?

    Insulation doesn’t stop things from cooling/heating, all it does is slow down the rate of change. The better the insulation the slower the heating/cooling on either side of the insulation. If insulation was perfect, then a flask of coffee would never go cold & ice would never melt in a cool box.
