Hi all, I’ve the van booked in to get the egr replaced as it’s leaking coolant into exhaust manifold!
What I’m asking is there is a rubber/plastic union that sits between the egr cooler and bracket, is this usually replaced at same time, and is it available separately??
Thanks all
Hi all, I'm just having a new engine and turbo fitted because of the dreadful egr. I wanted to blank and map out the egr and leave the dpf alone but been told I've got to do both as it will kill the dpf. I've heard that the dpf still does its regen even if the egr is blanked out. Is this true or...
...forum & can’t find a definitive answer to my query, so here goes.
Hypothetically, if someone had a 204 bi turbo T6, & physically blanked off the EGR valve & gutted the DPF. Assuming the person in question had a fully functional VCDS, what coding would be required to complete the removal of...
Looking likely that the some part of my EGR system is going to need changing, now the emissions warning light is permanently on.
Since is a 2018 204ps CXEB engine, I'm paranoid that throwing away a large fee on the EGR is a waste, if the engine block is going to need changing.
Am I causing...
Hi there, I'm looking for a part no for gasket between cooler and EGR - I plan to recover EGR rather than replace it, but nowhere can find the part no for the below element (see red/yellow indication). thx
I assume it should look something similar to this:
but how to get part no for it?
Hi, I'm going to install a new EGR Valve and wondered if anyone could help me with the toque settings particularly at the exhaust end of the EGR pipe... I've tried to download a manual from the downloads area but no luck with that ...could anyone help. Would actually be grateful of any advice...
So.
On the way to my 3 week europe tour, the dreaded engine light came on. I popped home and plugged in my Carista. Yep, the EGR code come up. I reset using the Carista, and the light came back on after every 200 miles or so. I kept switching it off with no issues. No loss of power, juddering...
Hi all, I had a PO46C00 fault code on my VW T6 102 67 pleate euro 6. Had some diagnostics done and EGR wasn't functioning and rear flexi pipe had split. Replaced the EGR unit, intercooler and pipe. Van drove well for about a mile and the light has come back on the dash with a loss of power...
...Seems to be running OK but a bit of rough idling I guess (but nothing major). I rang the code check and got back p0401 - insufficient air flow EGR. So I guess the EGR is blocked or the value is faulty?
Hefty quote for the mechanic. Wondering if I need to bother to replace the EGR or I can...
Hi - I had a code, P0401 EGR 'A' flow insufficient detected. Low milage (35k) but recently lots of shorter journeys and it's 8 years old so I just replaced with a new Valeo EGR. It is a CAAC engine (no adBlue). Reset codes, bled coolant and it was fine for 200 miles or so. The engine was mapped...
Well, it's EGR time again!
I bought the van nearly 5 years ago at ~99000 miles. I'm sure I saw a receipt for a new EGR' in the paperwork but I can't find it now. Either way, the date of manufacture of the old (aftermarket) EGR is 2018 and the van (Euro 5, 140) was registered in January 2016...
Brand new set of Tafmet EGR blanking plates and gaskets for the T6 2.0 Tdi engine. One medium and one small blanking plate included.
Note these will not fit the Transporter with the slightly longer EGR Pipe (original part 04l131521AK).
Cost me nearly £30 due to the international delivery from...
Noticed my van has the EGR disabled with no warning lights. Can I simply plug it back in. I would have thought, it had been closed via software then unplugged to stop a further signal operating it again or am I completely wrong?
Hello all, 40k and it looks like my EGR cooler is blocked up…
5 gear , 102bhp i think
I was going to just replace the cooler however a garage informed me that the EGR would not need blanking off if the valve was still working.
The cost to delete is not far front he cost of a new cooler as I...
...After a 300 mile journey through the night, EML popped up and Carista says "exhaust gas insufficient flow A"
My specialist says, either new EGR or blank off EGR.. likely going to be expensive.
I had the inlet manifold replaced earlier in the year due to excessive carbon build up.
No cheap...
So my van has a Pendle remap. The EGR valve has died. The garage says they could just do a delete but it’d need mapping out but they can’t do it as my van is already remapped. Is there now way round this or do I have to get a new EGR?
Hello, Im about to remove the EGR system on my T6 CXFA.
But i was wondering instead of just install blocking plates, can't i just remove the whole EGR cooler/Valve and just plug the water hoses?
Thanks :)
I just replaced the EGR valve and cooler on my CXGB 2016 T6, and it seems to be running well. Do I need to do any calibration / adaptation with VCDS or similar?
