    2nd Leisure battery

got any pics of the setup? yes you can add another battery . . . though normally its recommended to fit two like for like battery's - same make, model, and same SOH. so basically two NEW battery's would be the way to go. ++ other costs will be fueses, terminal cables to interconect the two...

    T6.1 CarPlay and iPhone 15pro - issues

I’ve got issues too which I’ll add here to see if it’s of any use to you or anyone else. Mine’s an aftermarket head unit and I had successfully used 13 pro and 14 pro for two years via a usb-c adapter plate that I installed in the dash, which connected to the female usb at the back of the head...

All your Audio needs and more... AbsoluT5

Rescue was in order for this T6.1 earlier this week. Poor owner had his vehicle worked on by a company who came to his home to do a Carpet lining and audio install. Pictures don’t tell the full horror. rear speakers were attached to the tweeter wires in the pillars. door speakers were housed...

    Another wiring diagram for scrutiny

Yeah that is of slight concern. I think regs is 2m and I’m at about 3 ish. But it’s through grommets, and routed through channels so minimal chance of rub and nowhere it can be trapped or cut. FYI I’ve just stripped the cab out for another issue and the 240 cable is as new. It routes out of the...

    ADVICE: Clayton Powered 12v Circuits

Thought I'd start a thread as this may help others who go down the Clayton Power route and like me, have no idea on electrical wiring. @roadtripper has helped no end so far in regards to EHU whilst using a Clayton and has just been super helpful in general (he deserves a medal). But lets focus...

    My novice T6 camper conversion

The new van is a T6 Trendline with a 5 speed manual gearbox and came with 100bhp. I was a bit nervous about the 5 speed manual as if I believed what Facebook told me it was underpowered (which may be the case for a conversion) and the gearbox was weak, particularly with 20" alloys. In reality...

Complete novice - can you point me in the right direction please?

This might be better as it's own thread and post some pics? If you have bus bars in place you shouldn't need to be going to the battery terminals? Or do you mean the battery terminals that are a bit larger than normal and have 3 or so bolts on them to ease wiring?

Hit a speed bump and van shut down and came to a stop. Scan shows numerous module communication errors.

I really wish I could tell what the issue is. Anyway has to be something regarding major supplies, grounds or databuses. I guess I would first check the ground points at under seats, the easy ones at left and right A-pillar bases and the nasty one somewhere at the center channel from gear...

240v cable separately from 12v (cable route)

I can't really advise you. But you can have a look what I have done, no, the cable is not near the pedal, comes out at steering wheel height and I've used a nature groove in the body work

Please help me - how to use camper plug sockets?

Thank you very much. I appreciate the time taken to write to me, this was really helpful. Would it be unreasonable for me to ask the company I purchased from to upgrade the DS300 as per your comment?

240v cable separately from 12v (cable route)

Hi Sipep, I need to run some solar cable from my solar controller which is under my driver's seat to under the bonnet so I can connect my portable solar panel. Would this be better a route to use rather than the grommet behind the battery on my 6.1. Also were does it come out in the van, I am...

...centre of the floor mat, trying to find a screw I dropped. Immediately prior to that the van started perfectly. I know we have some mega-electrical gurus on here so wondering if it could be one obvious issue. @mmi and @n10n any ideas of one cable/cable route that is coomon to all these problems?

Please help me - how to use camper plug sockets?

Something is odd there! What does the control panel above the USB socket say about the state of charge of the 2 batteries? This needs to be done with all loads turned off and nothing being charged otherwise the reading is useless. The reading on those is not great anyhow, but it’s better than...

240v cable separately from 12v (cable route)

For those that might be interested there is a second grommet. Just look for a route of least resistance. There is also a nice grove which naturally holds the cable (test fitting only, but would secure it )

240v cable separately from 12v (cable route)

Hi all, I've had a little search in the forum but can't find my answer. Is there a secondly grommet other than the one behind the starter battery? I want to put my 240v hook under the bonnet but someone said mention that the 240v should be keep away from the 12v. I already have a 12v cable...

    Leisure Battery vs Power Bank

The Bluetti AC200P is a very good unit, all be it very heavy and big, so moving it around the campervan was a pain in the ass. The 180amp under the seat LiFePO4 Battery took about 90 minutes to install as all the cables from the AGM battery was alrady in place. The solar panel I fitted myself...
