I have been trough this fail about a year ago on a crafter. If you search dpf crafter you will find my tread. First I changed the diferential pressure sensor, nothing, then I went to Germany and fitted a new vw dpf, bought at €1800 euro in exchange of my old. Without exchange would been € 2150...

...well on pressure test. When hot, the egr cooler opens up a leak to the exhaust side, eventually leaking into the exhaust. The glycol damaged the dpf, and after numerous test and code re appearing, I went to Germany and bought a new dpf from vw and fitted it myself. Took 1hr to take of, and...

If it was me I would buy 5L of the car dpf cleaner, take the dpf off, soak overnight in cleaner and pressure wash reverse flow. Or take it to a cleaning specialist where it will measure the pressure flow before and after.

...and to the egr. When egr is closed, the coolant leaks into the exhaust side, It happened before, I’m not the first. It may be possible when the egr opens, some of the coolant could be pulled with the gases via egr onto combustion track. Never the less the egr cooler leak totalled the dpf core.

...when I changed the differential pressure sensor, I found that, the two rubber lines going to the sensor , had no hose clips at all. At the dpf end did. So I added two new hose clips at the sensor end. It was well packed and looked like factory fit, so I don’t think anyone been at that sensor...

No links afraid. I had a hiccup with the egr cooler, and was researching dpf cleaning but haven’t saved any. There is at least two I found in SE. You have to take it of.
