Hi just had my alloys refurbished on my t5.1 sportline 255/45/18. But on the invoice the air pressure says 36 is this ok?

Maybe worth checking the ET of the wheel? However the standard tyre profile for an 18 is 235/50/18 or 255/45/18. If you want a high profile tyre then go down to a 17” or raise the height.

Right, as we say up here “games a bogey”. Went to Skidz and ordered 18” steel wheels with the proper 255/45 R18 cross climates and get them on Thursday. Any wanna buy 20’s? Don’t read this thread first lol

That's 235 50 18, was going to put 245 50 18 as I prefer them to the smaller 255 45. The 245 is slightly stretched as well. That's 245 on the rears as well.

I still can’t decide on tyre sizes, anyone have anything more to say about the choice between 235/55/18 and 255/45/18 tyres?

This is same wheels when on SoLow with an all season tyre opposed to a winter tyre. They were 255 45 18

235/55/18 will fit your stock 18. About DSG, I can’t notice any difference between 255/45 and 235/55. The ride quality upgrade is very noticeable.

I have just put 4 new tyres on my Van and was wondering what people have their tyre pressures at? I got this chart from Kwik Fit but not sure how accurate it is. Does any one else run on 255/45/18? Hoping for some advice.

Hello, I got 255/45/18 on my t6 with stock rims and Koni suspension (30mm higher) but hungarian roads are very bad and I was thinking on changing it to 235/55/17 or stay with the same rims and put 255/55/18 or 235/55/18 - but then my dsg would be more sluggish and I dont know which to choose...

I run 235/55/18 cross climate 104Y. The speedo match the gps. And ride quality is considerably better than my previous 255/45/18.

I just went with 255/45 for my 18's that gives you 103 load rating and if you look on the driver's door shut label that's the size VW list for their 18's
