...through this thread front to back and back to front so many times! The steels I've bought have 245/45/18 tyre's but i see a lot of guys on 255/45/18 and other sizes as well. I have gone for STX coil overs so not massively low and I want to loose the arch gap so what we thinking?
Any advice...
I do around 30k a year on 20s (April till December) and then 10K over the winter on 17s. Having had 3 transporters and run everything from 16 to 20 wheels I can honestly say I feel very little difference between 235 55 17 and 255 40 20 in regards to ride. I have VW spec coilovers (KW / Eibach...
I've popped my tyre, Divanti Dx640 255/45/18 XL on a Sportline alloy. These were on my van when i bought it but because I need to replace it could I do like for like or swop out with commercial load tyres rates C. Any advice welcome.
I'm fairly sure your TPMS system won't be affected by the changes in wheels and tyres, you'll just have to reset it. My TPMS works through the ABS system.
I think you are not far off the mark with your current tyres/ wheels . Best ride quality I’ve had was 2554518 on a Sportline . Currently running 265/40/20 which is not the best combo however i can live with it. As you know it’s always a trade off between ride quality and handling/ looks.

Hi all. Quick question that Im sure has been asked before and I have done several forum searches, but, regarding a T6, Is anyone running 255-35-R20`s on 20" rims and where there any fitment issues or ride issues with the bigger tyres and therefore lower side walls?
Is it really a straight...
They look like 16" Clayton's so even a modest 18 will look "biglier" depending how much lower you're now sitting.

Hello, first time poster, long time lurker, please be gentle!

Hello everyone,
What's people thoughts on tyre choice I have a caravelle running 255/45/18 tyres. The outside edges on the fronts are warn. Just wondering if it's worth putting decent tyres on or just putting a budget tyre on and replacing it more often?
What do you all do ?
Cheers
