    Fiamma F45 Awning - Rattling...

Hi, I just wondered how much people's awning rattled? I expect a little and its probably a characteristic, but mine really really rattles. If you have the window open and didn't know there was an awning you'd think it was the window and it was about to fall out!! I'm sure it shouldn't rattle...

Best tailgate bike rack - bang for buck

We have a Fiamma rack (version for barn doors) Pleased with it and works well. Ours holds two bikes. It can be removed but I think it is designed to remain in situ. Regular removal would soon become a pain. Ours has never been removed. It's rattle free and we forget its there! Securing the bikes...

    Fiamma f40...

Hi Ian , I was always a little concerned because of the small gap between the awning and the roof, I just decided to remove to have a quick look and found white scratches on the awning bottom and some scratching on the roof. Fortunately the scratching in the roof wasn't deep and with a little...

hello Crispy68, just about to fit the F40 to my new caravelle soon, i want to put it on the passenger side and wondered as one bracket was longer than the other if they can be used on the passenger side and which one should go at the front? I think i will put some protective film on the...

    Fiamma F45 Awning - Rattling...

Thanks, funnily enough I did put bits of insulation foam where I thought rattles might occur but no luck. I think I will try proper lengths of foam around the legs and see what happens. If you tap the awning it rattles so I thought more the casing rattling than the legs but think it will be...

Fiamma Or Thule Roll Out Awning. Which One Is Best.

...Spoke to a couple of converters as apposed to manufactures, and the general consensus was Thule was slightly better. A few claimed that the Fiamma rattles when driving? There's very little in price but I'm swaying more to Thule as its a brand I've used in the past and always been top quality.

    Thule Awning Confusion

I chose Thule as my research revealed that Thule was the best. Also I wanted to be able to easily remove the awning from the van when not in use with little to zero sign of fitting kits. Unfortunately, the company I choose to fit it did not go with the custom T6 brackets (despite them assuring...

    Fiamma F45S - size for a LWB?

ooops! Yesterday in the heat I did notice the rattling when windows down. It was the metal legs within the Fiamma housing. No real wind noise when traveling as to put me off.

    Fiamma f40...

Hi @Crispy68 - Thanks for the feedback, I’ve had my head in the sand after fitting the F40 and I nervously took it off this evening - after being on for a couple of months and doing around 3000 miles. I was expecting to see horrors underneath but there’s not a mark! I need to say that I’ve got...

Fiamma Or Thule Roll Out Awning. Which One Is Best.

No idea about Thule. I’m happy with my Fiamma. Very easy to roll out/in. It doesn’t rattle when driving (very simple fix- now that I’ve worked out where to place two small pieces of foam in the housing to hold the legs - happy to share) You can put the forward leg high enough to clear the...

    LWB Reimo Roof Drainage.....drip drip.

Lol - I really don't hear the Fiamma rattling unless the road is particularly bumpy but even then I get more noise from inside the van. Wonder if the nice spoiler on the SCA deflects the wind differently?

    Fiamma F45 Awning - Rattling...

I took my van back to Andy @ AJC conversions and rattling now stopped - now have a peaceful drive, makes such a difference. Andy put velcro strips under various parts of the legs and put carpeting material on the internal brackets holding the legs - all now good. Given its an all metal unit...
