10 year campervan ownership: Newer/high mileage or older/low mileage + running costs?

Thanks @TrevorK , I think that's the way we thought about it as well. If we can get extended warranty on a van that covers us for a long time that'd be massively beneficial. Your thinking is along my line, that at some point, it basically depreciates to scrap value, and you just need to admit to...

    Team Candy White

New to the van world. Picked up our Candy White van last week. Internals scheduled with Freedom Conversions. Externals a blank canvas and open to ideas but thinking "less is more". Probably limit to 18's and some subtle decals.

Thanks, I like the look of the conversions with Freedom... I will put him on the ever growing list of possible's…! I am sending my build spec out to different converters for a rough estimate to start... that way any with over inflated prices avoids me a trip there... The more realistic one's I...

    Ölbel Conversions

Hi, I’ve considered Platinum Wave too. I also like local firms North West Dubs and Freedom Conversions. I wont be doing anything stupid but the contact I have is with a chap in a dealership that sells used cars on to Autobaydirect and so he knows the owner. When I get to view one I’ll have...

    Conversion Payment

Firstly has anybody used Freedom Conversions in Chorley Lancashire. Their Facebook page all looks good and I've been chatting with the owner Paul who seems genuine. All their conversions look good just thought I'd see if anyone else has used them or heard good/bad things. Secondly, is it common...

    North West Exterior Upgrade

My mate has had his converted at Freedom conversions in Chorley. I haven't been round to look at it yet as he has only just got it back but he did tell me in the pub that he is well chuffed with the job they made of it, and he is somewhat of a perfectionist and will most certainly have shopped...

    Wild Atlantic Way - Ireland

We are considering driving part of the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland next June (starting in the South & travelling North). We plan to allow 2 weeks for the trip from the UK and recognise that this isn't enough to do justice to the whole route so will only do as much as we can in the time...

V5 Documentation - DVLA Rule Change for Motor Caravan Reregistration June 2019

Just seen this latest reply for a FOI request to DVLA - ( I have quoted the second part of the reply totally so that it can be read here) they are still being obstructive! ( hoping to issue guidelines shortly!! ) First part is a refusal to provide the criteria for defining " body...

V5 Documentation - DVLA Rule Change for Motor Caravan Reregistration June 2019

So in my case as I haven't sent my v5 to DVLA yet , I don't have to as it's not the law , then I can just have modified van insurance , may cost more for insurance but not really wanting to send v5 away if there is no need , mines is already an M1 class on v5 so nothing really to gain ,would I...
