Hey,
I have a 2020 T6.1 which has just hit 40k on the clock.
I purchased it in Jan this year, it was brought from VW with the extended 5 year / 80,000 mile warranty.
It went in for a service and MOT last week and it's noted in the health check of 'Misting from front main oil seal', having...
Yeah, I wondered about All-in and extended warranties, but didn't ask as didn't want to muddy the waters. One thing for sure, no warranty, no OEM screen - at least not without a hefty contribution.
im assuming
3years new warranty 2018-2021?
2years factory extended - yrs 4+5 2021-2023 ( i opted for this aswell)
then 2yrs ALL-IN 2023-2024? - yrs 6+7 ( i opted for this aswell)
Newby question:
If I am buying a T6.1 from a non-VW dealer, and it is 1 year and 10 months old.
How do I get the extendedwarranty?
Can I get the extendedwarranty?
I phoned my local VW dealer, and they said they cannot help.
The first 3years and the 2year extended factory warranty you should be ok.
But after that, with the All In warranty......
We were declined yesterday.... According to the warranty office the hinge is part of the body and not covered by the policy.
The replacement hinge is about £89 and needs...
...and sensors. over time its what the manufacturer wanted. but there seems a continuous line of faults. I hate the idea of having an extendedwarranty on a vehicle this new (past 2 years as well,) and now retired I could do with the money on other things. battling with my conscience at the moment.
I have used the Edinburgh Newbridge garage a number of times for warranty work and not had any issues with them.
They even suggest using a garage for tyres and pads, as “they (VW) will quote way over the odds”.
...damage? Oil seals are none of these, and should be covered, after all the vehicle purchase has paid for the first 3 years, and any extendedwarranty is paid for thereafter.
If basic things are excluded, what's the point of any warranty? Ah, of course, the Seychelles holiday fund for the...
...Can't say if the map has any relevance.
But that's exactly when mine needed replacing.
VW done two flushes and then replaced it... All under extendedwarranty.
Out of warranty it's around £800-£1200 depending where you go. (Part is £600 odd)
And new part should be good for another 80k miles.
I don't have the All In extendedwarranty, they covered it under parts warranty/VW good will. Also had the cambelt and pump changed @ ~£480. Made sense while they had it apart.
As far as I understand VW extendedwarranty is only be available if a validated service history is confirmed. After all why would any insurance provider give extended coverage without the knowledge that service intervals have correctly adhered to. As you know there is no requirement for the...
...a software upgrade on the ECU which will correct the fault on the EGR valve.
I was then bombarded with them trying sell me the extendedwarranty on the van at £839 for 2 years cover Inc serving and Mots.
Has anyone else experienced this, is the extendedwarranty worth it, would the EGR...
...the van come with 3 years warranty as all do. . . .
but from new you have the chance to add in an extra two years factory extendedwarranty. . - which we did.
this extendedwarranty runs out in April 2023.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
once that warranty runs out . . ...
