...back. would like a simple spoiler and bigger black wheels. How big should I go? I can’t lower it because that’s a lift on the side. I’m a Wheelchair user in sit in my wheelchair in the front passenger seat area.
id like to do something at the front but don’t know where to start. I’d like all...
...on it but also be able to set up my DJ decks too. Would you have any cost effective ideas for something suitable? It needs to run length ways with the van so that when I slide the door open I'm looking out when using the table etc. as I need space for my wheelchair inside.
Many thanks!
Chris
As the title says, the front assist on our 4 month old T6.1 Shuttle just activated when there was no traffic or parked cars near to us. The icon on the display in front of the driver lit up in white and the brakes banged on.
I have checked the manual and it says that it will display as a red...
I
it is a costed option. My T6.1 Kombi highline has tailgate and sliding door “power-latching” which basically soft closes the doors.
To get the tailgate to actually power-open / power-close by itself on a button press requires a costed option fitted at build or retrofit kit.
Evening all.
As per the title, I am a potential new T6 owner lurking on your forum!
I am a wheelchair user and have been able to get myself and my chair in and out of various 4x4's over the last 10 years however my new powered chair is a lot heavier (200kg!) meaning I'm in the market for...
I've seen tailgate wheelchair lifts that have been removed from T6's before camper conversions.... but never seen second hand electric side steps... like the Pegasus ones...
Have you thought about full length running boards instead which would help getting in and out of the van and considerably...
Sounds like you have a plan
You have to have the appropriate wheels and tyres for the van’s plated weight, regardless of what you’re actual weight in use is. It’ll have insurance and VOSA (aswell as potentially safety) implications.
There’s lots of threads on here, although I’ve...
Perfect thank you.
Very good point on pay load... I think I'll be ok, all the seats except the driver and passenger are being removed to make space for a wheelchair lift and the dog crate.
I'll have to chuck it on a weigh bridge to see what she's at with my wheelchair in her
Hi there, i’ve a LWB on order at the moment and I had the same dilemma. I went with LWB purely for the extra room behind the seats as I ordered a kombi. I guess it’ll stick out of spaces at the shops more but I can deal with that. Personally I think the SWB looks a little better / in proportion...
...T6,
Nothing amazing but after finding a nice TSI kombi, I can't wait to get started.
First step is removing row 2 to fit my sons wheelchair in then fitting a bench in row 3 for the rest of the family.
Got a local company lined up for the chassis work side of that just need to find the parts...
Hi just joined, am looking for a Caravelle - also looking for an aftermarket wheelchair lift for it when I get it - will send pictures when I get the van.
Some great info on here and a great vibe...
Hi all. I have a Shuttle T6 8 seater bt have rear seats removed because I am a wheelchair user. My question then, does the front captain seat have Isofix brackets on it? I know I have to turn of the airbag.
TIA
T6 Electric Side Steps
I am currently disabled myself and I am finding it harder for myself and my wife who now has Rheumatoid Arthritis to get into and out of our T6 T32 and I am thinking of getting either the Thule electric steps that are provided on Ex Disabled/Mobility vans or the full...

When we were looking at vans, my dad advised to see how the wheelchair got into the van. Some of the ramps look like they have cut into the bodywork which may cause issues later on.
Afraid that is all the help I have as we then chickened out. If it is possible then it is a great solution as...
...people anything. The only problem is that this isn’t a like for like replacement van, it’s going to be adapted to get my wife’s large wheelchair in through the rear tailgate. He current car (SEAT) has a leaking sunroof that the dealer has fully replaced 3 times and we now just suffer with...
