Drivers window going down when trying to close it

...gonig the wrong direction as well. Not worked out why. Has anyone got to the bottom of it? As a heads up to anyone wanting to fit wind deflectors, I had an extreme issue last night when fitting them where the window got stuck in the up position and the motor was in the bottom position...

Wind deflectors.... To be or not to be? Drivers side and passengers side window wind deflectors. What are any actual (not just the sales bull) advantages of them? Why do people fit them? Has anyone removed them from a van that they bought with them in place.... Was wind noise etc actually any...

    Cadac Windbreak

Not sure what the wind deflectors add on the new Cadac, I’d rather stick with grim reapers design

    Pop Top Wind Noise

I've only had my van just over a month, but from day one I also noticed the excessive wind noise from the pop top. I'm a little puzzled why this isn't a bigger issue/discussion, as for me the noise is totally unacceptable. I have the rubber deflector, but the shorter version that stops short of...

Shopping list... Help me spend money.

Thank you all for the advice.. I am itching to make my stamp.. I'll just keep it to £100 of bits, such as LEDs and wind deflectors until I know the van is sound.

Yes window deflectors fit well. They’re the vanstyle ones - cheaper to buy them through eBay £58 inc delivery than directly from them on their website which is strange?

...DSG 204.. Team Black...think this could get addictive and expensive. New seat covers- nothing exciting, new directional indicators, wind deflectors, insulated and carpeted, first fix electrics and a rock n roll bed. Poptop, fridge etc and alloys will have to wait a bit for my bank account to...

@DaveCrampton. Have you got wind deflectors on your windows? If so, just wondering how well it fits over them.

    Bonnet wind deflectors

Do they serve any purpose? I quite like the look of them purely as an aesthetic mod. I guess they also protect against stone chips. Anyone have one on their van and recommend them?

Drivers window going down when trying to close it

Mine does a similar thing, I always have mine open an inch, 'cos I like it like that! When I come to close/lock up it's 50/50 wether it goes up or down! Is it something to do with the wind deflectors? There have been occasions when I have left the van with the window down!

Using rear compartment heater to create clothes drying box

I travel for long periods without using campsites. If it’s raining I dry laundry on the dashboard with the screen air flow, it’s faster than my tumble drier at home. Obviously you need to ventilate the van, I use the side windows with wind deflectors.

...little over a month ago... really pleased with it! It's a T6 T32 150bhp, converted to a camper... I've eased into the tinkering with the addition of the cab door seals, and wind deflectors already... Looking forward to reading through the forums and seeing what others have done with theirs...

First night away, in my van. Any help to omprove would be helpfull.

Ventilation is important to reduce condensation. Fit some wind deflectors and pop your front windows open a couple of centimetres whilst camping; it really helps.

    Ventilation for cab windows

I’ve got Climair wind deflectors, they allow you to drop the windows a couple of inches even when it’s raining. Haven’t had any issues with condensation with this method. If you have a tailgate you can get a latch extension that allows it to be open slightly, but still lock.
