There are 3 different types of 'factory' lights. H4, H7 and LED. Which do you have. When you say 'playing up' what exactly do you mean.

There are MOT compliant H4 halogen lamps that will provide a very small improvement but in my experience, to get a significant improvement you'll have to change your headlights for H7 or proper LED units. There are many pages of content on this forum about both options.

Funny you should say that - after experiencing the excellent LEDs on the van, Mrs Bank Manager insisted on better lights for her Polo. Fortunately, some better bulbs appear to have appeased!

That's the DRL. Does the DRLs work on your H4 headlights? If so, then should work fine on H7s. Check the DRL bulbs are properly inserted. And if they are LED; try turning them 180 degs in case they only work in one position. (positive to positive and negative to negative)
