THQ V3 Headlight LED vs HID

...you cant get them perfect and thats the nature of the LED bulb. The HID will solve this issue. The only downside to the HID is the ballasts are bulky and the wires will need to stick out the back of the rubber dust caps on the rear of the light units. not a major issue its just a bit more...

    T6 OEM LED-headlight retrofit

Great. Think this is my next step to solving my problem. Still getting bulb out warning on dash but not visible problems. Swapped ballasts. Still faulty vcds error on left side. you wouldn’t happen to know the part numbers for the projectors ? @Robert

What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

...bulbs in non-LED/HID headlamps were tightened a couple of years ago so this is likely to become more common. Easy spot in a normal reflector headlamp but pretty unlucky to be picked up for it in a projector lamp IMO. Have you got HIDs with an obvious ballast visible behind the headlight unit?

Rear fog lights not operating [Resolved]

No, AFAIK... The whole light unit needs replacing. So you have fitted OEM T6.1 lights on your T6? With direct wires.? No ballast resistors?

    LED indicator bulbs

Yes you can, but you'll have to fit ballast resistors to prevent hyperflash on the dashboard

    H4 Help!

Bung in some Novsight N60 led H4 lamps, they come with a ballast looking box to keep the canbus lamp monitoring happy and boost the voltage to the lamp to maintain light output. They'll set you back around £50 and as they have fans on the back you'll have to modify the headlamp access caps...

Headlight level switch not working with H7 [Resolved]

Is there a ballast/canbus adaptor in the back of the housing? It might be preventing any movement.

    LED headlight fault [Resolved]

Update - so far I’ve swapped dip beam power modules / ballasts and the problem did not switch sides. Stayed on the near side. I’ve now also bought a brand new LED headlight thinking there is nothing left and the fault is exactly the same!!! The dip beam projector comes on initially, then after...

T6.1 THQ Headlights + HID Flicker on startup

...opted for the HID kit from the link above. The kit came with the bulbs/globes and a thing that's got 2 boxes, 1 small and 1 big. One is the ballast I'm not sure what the smaller thing is. *EDIT - I think one of the boxes is a CANBUS error thing* I've tried re-attaching the kit as I thought...

THQ V3 Headlight LED vs HID

That's the same as my experience, got THQ lights, I tried Night breakers but wasn't impresses by the output, tried LED's, there was just too much light scatter and not a great beam pattern, so I bought HID's (35W). They were so much better, as good as the factory LED's on my wife's car. It's...

THQ V3 Headlight LED vs HID

This is exactly what I was after thanks, someone who has done the upgrade. I have no issues with the HID units and worst comes to worst I have my old H7 headlights I can swap back in at certain times should I need to! Is that HID kit the exact one you used? Cheaper than the bloody LEDs! Should...

    Small Drive-Away Awning suggestions

We started with a Lazy spa, but I couldn't stand the electricity bill! We've had 2 real HT's since which are better at keeping the heat in, only £100 a month in Octopus vouchers. With the awning, we will keep rolling on it until we are old enough to get a Crafteresque wagon!

    Small Drive-Away Awning suggestions

...really tight creases in odd places which when put away for 6 months caused weak points. Since then I've left the hull inflated but with some ballast water in over winter and it's been 4 years since I had an air leak... I can see using a pump to get it really small to pack, but if you are...

    Which? Aftermarket Headlight choices

Get yourself a battery cover. That will hide the nearside stuff. The offside ballasts can be pretty well hidden between the headlight and air box. https://travelinlite-transporters.co.uk/products/t5-1-battery-cover-fixings

    LED indicator bulbs

I think any LED lamp you fit will cause hyperflash on the dash. The only way round it is to fit a ballast resistor to fool the van into thinking you have an incandescent bulb fitted instead of LED
