They’re for the T6.1
Are they new/ used?
Are the ballasts included?
LHD/ RHD?
Any damage?
I would guess between £600-£1,000 depending on your answers to the questions?…
...the t6 led headlights , the main and high beam bolt directly into the t6.1 ones and so does the height adjuster , I’ve just got the drls to figure out which the indicators are in the same part then it’s just a case of tidying the ballasts at the back then there in and working il try post...
I was talking to our local VW service guys yesterday (NSW Australia). They see this issue all the time on the new transporters towing trailers with LED lights. It also happens with my hitch mounted bike rack with LED lights. They suggested purchasing the little module that goes between van and...
...fault, if it was a van/LED compatibility issue, I'd expect the RHD to do the same. There could well be a genuine fault.
5, see if there's a way of deleting the monitoring of the trailer tail lights in VCD
6, fit ballast resistors to the modules (although this is normally only to the indicators)
Higher power leds rarely use a simple ballast resistor, its usually a constant-current regulator of some sort.
On '12v' led lights the reg is inside the housing. This is why most are not readily 'dimmable' by pwm
7PP941571AE is for low/high beam only.
The other power module (4G0907697G) is for side/DRL lights.
You need to verify if your problem is faulty power module or the actual set of LEDs.
I would suggest to swap 4G0907697G from the other side and then you know 100% what has failed.
Front bumper off...
...In you situation being LHD, enabling travel mode will probably do the same, good enough for MOT not for registering you van in the Uk.
Ideally you have to find 2 Valeo LED unit without ballast and swap them over with your LED lights. Fit back your OEM led after van has been registered in the Uk.
I was under the impression that the bulb brightness was an effect of the PWM signal from the BCM... and ballast resistors were needed if any filament bulb was swapped to LED.. (appart from the reverse bulb)
I'll have a look at the bulb wattages in mine... for a comparison.
...diameter) than the H4 so it would foul on the reflector?
It simply couldn't swing out the way enough, if I recall correctly
3. Can the ballast pack be fitted in behind the headlight in the housing or does it absolutely have to go inside the headlight and behind the reflector?
I think the...

sorry im a bit stuck here..
And then a test fit. I've not yet thought about how to get the rear cover back on the headlight as the fan sticks out a bit and the ballast needs locating somewhere. No warnings on the dash, yet.
First you put the main bulb in and thread the short wires through the clip, which then holds the...

They also include the Ballast resistors that are needed for a plug and play kit - to prevent the BCM triggering bulb out warning errors

On the headlight, I see two ballasts/modules.
Top one is Part number 7PP941571AE. Does that control the DLR lights too? or at least provide power?
No idea what the bottom module...
Before installing I'd suggest checking that your leds are simple ballast-resistor types, and that they actually dim as expected on the workbench.
Higher power leds like yours often have an internal current-limiting pwm converter, this type doesnt dim readily. Unless the ad said "dimmable" :)
I'm going to when the time comes. It will only take a few minutes as you can leave all the ballasts etc in place. Just tape over the holes where the wires pass through.
You're not bothering with the 6 month MOT exemption then?
