    TransporterHQ (THQ) Aftermarket Headlights

...thq lights are pretty good as a unit, the fit was spot on. I tidied up the wiring a little but will just keep and eye on it. I bolted the ballast to the battery divider on the passengers side and doubled sided taped it on the drivers side- see pics. I also noticed the round plastic washer...

    TransporterHQ (THQ) Aftermarket Headlights

...The wiring on the lights is a little chaotic for me, so I tidied it up with some spiral wrap and cloth loom tape. I then mounted the ballast and resistor pack to the light housing with 3M VHB tape. Fitted them to the van and went out for a drive. The difference is AMAZING. The 4300k...

    Hid kit and splitcharger

...should have worked. Those units have the relay that powers the solenoid that drags the bulb back for high beam, then the decoder and then the ballast. I tested one of their 35W kits but every bulb they sent me had the bubble (the arc tube) in a different place so if you aligned for dipped ok...

    TransporterHQ (THQ) Aftermarket Headlights

I am glad you went for the same bulbs as me. For their cost I think they are great value for money. They are a vast improvement over the Halogen ones. But not too bright to permanently dazzle other motorists as you see with other motorists using aftermarket HID’s etc. At Bus Fest I chatted...

    H4 headlamps with LED bulbs

...as halogen but it's not horrible like you see on some cars. Overall the leds fit in the holder without modification and I managed to fit the ballast type jobby in there too so it's basically oem fitment. I did get a bulb out warning when changing to main beam or flashing, not sure which one...

    H4 swap for H7

He basically opens the headlights puts in a complete housing, lense ballast ect in place of the halogen lense/reflector, then alters the wiring to suit.( I have over simplified this massively by the way!)

    Hid kit and splitcharger

...the bulb failure light comes on. Could it be because I have a split charge fitted? Would this be enough to stop the battery giving the ballasts enough voltage to run when it diverts power to the leisure battery. I can’t test this because I have sent the HID kit back before I thought of...

    TransporterHQ (THQ) Aftermarket Headlights

...but as you say, I think I can get more light out of them. The bulbs are not from the same manufacturer and are metal based, not plastic, so will report if they are better and compatible with the Car Rover ballasts at the weekend. Did you get any photos with the 4300K before you removed...

    H4 headlamps with LED bulbs

...and it looks tidy but I am saying you can't mount an higher output lamp within the headlight shell and cap void, whether you can mount the ballast and Canbus defeat box tidily inside the headlight shell is largely irrelevant if the access cap won't fit over the lamp and cooling fan combo...

    LED H11 Bulbs (front fogs)

I bought some from Ebay, can't find the item now think they were Argo . They look great with the same colour as the led headlights but they need the ballast resistor to stop them flickering .

    TransporterHQ (THQ) Aftermarket Headlights

...just look for a local VCDS user on the map and get them to disable the warning light (you actually tick the box to turn it on strangely enough). Can you take a photo of the back of the light unit, I'm interested to see where they put the ballast (is it inside the unit or stuck to the housing).

Mot And By Xenon Headlight Conversions

You can tell they are HID as the ballast causes a flash of light, the arc then builds up brightness again. The headlight units also state which bulbs they were designed for, usually on the lens. So this kit should fail an MoT. Brightness and aim is also tested so any poorly aligned headlight...

    TransporterHQ (THQ) Aftermarket Headlights

Is all that wiring for the light units? I can see a relay and some sort of controller/ballast in front of the battery and red wires running across the front of the engine bay. The Phillips units should come with a small matchbox sized aluminium box to run the LEDs. The bulb warning is just...
