LED interior lighting blowing 5A fuses [Resolved]

Well, if you want to experiment - connect a regular H4 bulb (or similar - 55 W) in series with the LED. The 5 Amp fuse has no problem handling this but you'll get very bright and very hot LED light for a second. Certainly would be safer to start with a smaller bulb.

Transporter-HQ V2 Sequential Headlights - Full Beam and Dipped Beam Don't Operate Together?

It still thinks it has H4 headlights, which is why dipped turns off with main beam. The H4 bulbs can sustain a brief flash of dipped and main beam on together, but too long and the filliments get too hot and will pop.

    TransporterHQ (THQ) Aftermarket Headlights

It does not need to be like say a H4 bulb............park up against a wall when it's dark and rotate the bulb until the shadows are gone.

Sensor on back of rear view mirror

I think it was only available on vans with full LEDs but someone may be able to correct me. I can't see any reason why the system would need to be led specific though.

    1. H4 upgraded bulbs https://www.t6forum.com/threads/h4-headlamp-bulb-upgrade.4741/ Makes a big difference. Goes from shocking to acceptable. I used Philips ExtremePro 150, others have used Osram nightbreaker, have a search through the forum. Cheap to do...

[GUIDE] How to retrofit LED projectors to T6 H4 headlights on a VW Transporter

Thanks to @Robert and others on this thread: https://www.t6forum.com/threads/bi-xenon-or-led-projector-retrofit.8335/post-318502 Fitting retrofit LED mini-projectors to H4's is now completely doable, and very good value for the light output: (H4 LED mini-projector on the left, H4 halogen...

LED replacement sidelight and DRL bulbs in H4 and H7 OEM headlights

This time it's the H4's getting their bulbs replaced, using Osram for both sidelight and DRL. The LED DRLs are slightly less twinkly as the bulbs have no light output at the front of the unit, so appear perhaps dimmer, but actually they seem more DRL-like - as if they are meant to be...

H7 Headlamp - Changing DRL Bulb

Yip, definately both main and high beam bulbs are H7 @Bluey. An H4 bulb has two filaments in the one bulb and three contacts. Good idea about the string as it will also assist in location the holder again. The problem I forsee though is that the contacts are now clean on the holder, but not on...

H7 Headlamps - Accessing DRL bulbs

@Dieseldonkey I have read the above .... I have the Shuttle on a 16 plate ... it is the drl on the driver's side that has gone. Is the drl bulb the one circled in red (by Ed) on the attached? Or the one I circled in Yellow (by me!)? I am guessing it is RED, but would appreciate your...

    H4 To H7 Upgrade

Difficult to say, I did put in one side uprated H7 and standard H7 the other, even though it was daylight and quite sunny there was a clear difference. Bear in mind that I had Philips 150% H4 bulbs in. I think you would notice a big difference between standard H4 and H7, but if you have them on...

    Headlights so dull

H4 bulbs - I got mine from Euro Car Parts quite cheaply. They are normal bulbs so plug and play. No coding needed nor flashing dash lights!

    Headlights so dull

H7 is the fit. If you are talking about a Kombi, you will need H4 bulbs if it has standard lights. H7's are on Shuttles as standard.

    Opinions please!

I tried them and agree that they are better than the ones I took out, but not good enough in my opinion, I live in a rural area with no street lighting, I really struggled driving at night. I do however wonder how much it is about expectations. If I'd driven a T6 with H4 bulbs in 1990, (yes, I...
