Anyway, friend has now stripped inlet manifold and as you can see from the pic, its a mess. He now wants to pull the engine...
...during the first lockdown; EGR flush done.
A couple of weeks back I had the light come on again, AA (via VW Assist) read the dreaded code P040100, cleared it, and advised me to book it in. First slot I could get was today.
Fortunately (!) it came back on after a week driving around Guernsey...
Had the van serviced in March, last service at VW using the service package that came with the van. While it was in they advised of a software update/recall. The invoice has this as “23DV S-EGR Correction recall”. So, less than 500 miles driven since the service and the EML light has been on 4...

The EGR system is not self cleaning, perhaps you are confused with the DPF which is an emission system but not related?
The EGR unit (valve and cooler) have a finite life due to getting clogged with carbon.
The cooler will begin to clog from day 1, imagine a set of tubes gradually getting...
I’ll see how much goodwill VW Stoke offer.
To be fair Chelmsford Beadles (dealership we bought off) have said once Stoke have looked at it they will sort out what’s needed and foot the bill if that helps Stoke…….
We shall see on the 30th September.

I've been getting a P040100 egr pressure error occasionally on my T6/T28 , I clear the codes down , it lasts a while before coming back on.
I was dropping some bike bits off for a customer at my cleaning guy, I asked him about aquablasting egr coolers, he said he does it all the time, £40 for...
Hi Guys
Got a problem.
Im selling my T6 (2016 - 102 T28 with 57000k) and had a diagnostic done showing:
