Did your van come with halogen H7 & H15 lights? I thought you'd get errors and alarms on the dash if you simply replace halogen bulbs with LED?

The position light part of these is I think a different set of LEDs in the unit. I wired mine to come on with dipped headlights but you could use the DRL feed I suppose. The problem I had was I didn't like the look of them. The colour temp is warmer than the OEM led headlights and just looks odd...

Sounds like good advice. Do you happen to know if the problem is alleviated if the DRLs are switched to LEDs?

Only a side note really, but whether you choose these or the VW H7 you will need to code them for the main and dipped beam to come on together. That’s how they are meant to work. It’s set differently on the H4 because dipped and main use the same bulb in the same lense unit.

No led apart from the running lights. Tried turning I the radio and then only the lights and that made no difference. Weird as I've han no problem for 2 years before now

Just fitted THQ V3 headlights myself, with LED H7 bulbs. I'm very happy with the upgrade but slightly disappointed in the brightness of the DRL strip. Does anyone know if they can be made brighter using Vagcom

As above, H4 headlights taken from my 2017 Kombi at 29K miles. Pickup in south wales (just outside Cardiff) or can meet locally for pickup. 150% bulbs in main beam/dip and LED's in the DRL Will also consider posting if interested, at buyers cost as I have the box and wrapping from my new THQ...

They are not as white as the DRLs. I’d say they are nearer 3500-4000k. Quite a bit whiter than normal bulbs but nowhere near the LEDs. My DRLs go off when dipped headlights are on so they are not seen side by side anyhow.

Hi, how did you get on fitting the h15's with the lead from the bulb into the vw connector?

@VioletVW - by tapping into that particular fuse, does that mean the LED strip switches on & lights up when you turn the ignition on? Or do you need to turn the drl / sidelights / main headlights on for the strip to light up?
