I've seen folks fit additional LTE antennas for additional routers and also replacement DAB antenna - but not replacing the OE one.
I also wouldn't expect good performance from a GPS system co-mounted with a transmitting antenna like an LTE - GPS signals are very low and will be swamped by a...
Hello. The DAB radio on my T6 isn’t picking up stations at all. It’s not the transmitter as other radios work. I yanked the head unit and the aerial is still connected. Today I was giving the cab a good clean and discovered this (please see image). Maybe the previous owner had a new driver’s...
i am trying to install a shark fin 2, for better DAB, in the instructions it talks about a feed to PHANTOM ? and REM ?
i don't understand what it means.
i know it needs a switched live, but can i take it from the fuse box ? if i haven't got a remote cable from the stereo?
...all,
I'm trying my best to not post any new questions to ones that have already been answered but I have read through a lot of posts on the OEM DAB aerial and can't find anything to my specific question.
The DAB is very poor in my T6. It's a standard set-up with head unit shown in picture...
...I would think so. Definitely be worth asking some of the tech wizards on here if you’d need any additional bits to get full functionality such as DAB & Bluetooth working, before committing though mate.
I’m not going to be much help on that front unfortunately…
Plumbing & heating questions...
Finally got the Reimo rail fitted after braving taking a drill to the bodywork! I also managed to fit a new shark fin aerial at the weekend too which has sorted my DAB out!
Next jobs are footwell and puddle lights!
Can't argue with that for the money but no SD card and no DAB rules it out for me but that's the same with most of the android units. Thanks for posting.
Got the aerial from incartec DAB & AM/FM Combiflex antenna with DAB and FM extensions - InCarTec
No kit really because you need to purchase either another lead or an adaptor that fitted the head unit. You don’t need to earth the aerial either, because I was told you did. This is fitted to a T6.1.
edited now. No issues, obv slow as it aint my day job, but managed to fit an DAB ant in the roof, reversing camera and the head unit in between meetings over two days. Even finished in work time 5pm on the second day
Evening..
the Unit in my T6 is playing up, seems a common issue with the Sat Nav & DAB. Related?
Got the ignition on, the radio FM etc works off the steering wheel controls to scan, change channels & turn volume up no probs.. put it on DAB & won’t tune on SW or manual, as well as won’t turn...
That kit does not retain the park pilot, to retain it you need a Connects2 infoadapter.
Yes you need a male fakra - female SMB for the dab
Also if you want to keep the dash usb, a usb retention kit is best
We can supply
The head unit blends the FM and DAB together, so it uses DAB if it can and then falls back to FM. It doesn't explicitly list them as either one.
It confused me at first too.
If you have the digital dash you can run the navigation on both of them at once, which I really liked on the Caravelle...
I'm having the same issue.
2023 T6.1 with a camper conversion and pop-top.
Recently had a Halo 9 installed and having issues with the DAB reception which is constantly dropping out now, where I had no issues at all with the original head unit.
Not had anything else changed or fitted, just the...
Yes. Standard Headunit as don't feel I need upgrades yet. I use Google maps for satnav which is fine on the standard headunit and TuneIn for radio when it gets patchy on DAB
Scrap that! All working fine now!
Only issue is that the radio cuts out every time the auto stop-start stops! Then comes back on when the engine re-starts!
Any way of changing this?
