The Kufatec dongles turned up today and the HBA upgrade was as simple as just plugging in and waiting for the dongle to do its thing.
HBA applied to two transporters at a total cost of £130 per vehicle.
After a brief test I can confirm that HBA on the transporter is pretty decent and compared...
Thanks for posting this Robert.
As a bit of a thickie and a non VDS User, I hope that enabling HBA as simple as the instructions on the Kufatec website!
I've ordered two of these dongles to apply HBA to two T6.1 panel vans (which both already have Lane Assist and the little camera at the top of...
I also contacted Kufatec and requested just a loom for a RHD T6.1 and their reply was a very rude NO! “You will go and buy all the other parts cheaper” I wasn’t impressed with their customer service at all! I made my own loom and I’m currently installing it as I type!
@JanTichava i understand...
On the Kufatec website, they list recommend fitters for their LED upgrade kits -

This could be useful for someone ;)

I have tried to contact Kufatec if they will sell me just the wiring loom for T6.1 (they offer just complete set) a answer was no. If I am right, for T6 it should be just about resistor to 5,5V LEDs. I...
Based on the above, that sounds about right.
The coding module will write a short code similar to what VCDS will do. Have a look for a member nearby on the member map, or find a local garage who can code it for you.
Having looked at the wiring diagram off here (Kufatec don’t seem to have one) I’m assuming and don’t shoot me down!! That you need the following parts
An AC unit that includes the heated seat switches
Heated front seat control unit
Wiring loom & seats with pads in or the the pads if fitting...
Others will correct me if I’m wrong, but by comparing the wiring diagrams with the connector blocks, you’ll be able to work out what cable refers to what (and then label them up, to make your life easier).
Lay it all out and see how it looks, and that’ll get you nearer to understanding it all...
Hi Pauly, yes I have downloaded the wiring diagram & just trying to work my way through it I’ve emailed Kufatec to ask if they have any instructions for the loom. The problem with the wiring diagram and the loom is, the loom only uses white wires so you’ll have to assume it marries up with the...
This is the Kufatec loom I ordered for the 6.1
I’m guessing thick white wire is for positive feed, the one with hoop is ground/negative not sure what the very thin white one is?? Two black plugs for seats, purple plug, I assume heated seat control module??
Thanks Ads, the Kufatec loom hasn’t come with any instructions! You might have to download them. I’m guessing that the loom I have bought runs from a control module to the seats and power supply? Meaning there must be something that goes from the AC unit to the control module, unless I have the...
...block for your new climatic unit and re-pin the loom with a simple pinning tool (or a pair of staples, if you’re desperate!).
Unless Kufatec have said otherwise, you may find that you need to treat the left seat as the right and vice-versa, as they will likely have written the instructions...
...a used one from a 2022 model which includes heated seat buttons & heated rear window switch which I don’t need!
I just received the Kufatec loom, expected the main plug to fit into this unit but as you can see from pic below it’s too big!!
I think I need a heated seat module as well...
Thanks @Steview that would be really helpful.
Yeah, I have no seat belt warning or occupancy sensor on the van passenger side (maybe was a bench seat before original conversion?) so it’s just the heating wires needed from the Tiguan seat. As you say, it’s likely three or maybe four. I’d love to...
It’s been a while since I fitted mine, I had to do it all including the Kufatec loom. I’ll try and have a look this week to see what wires I used. I’m sure I only needed 3 wires from the Tiguan loom for the heated side and didn’t bother with the seatbelt warning.
Yeah I saw your fitting thread and was hoping my post could at least help with the seat wiring but I got stuck too. I’m really happy with the seats and comfort. I don’t miss the arm rests but I appreciate many will.
Wiring up the seat belt switch is nice and easy, but you’ve got a few more...
I’m in a similar situation, have the seats fitted from Tiguan in My 6.1 but no seat heating controls in my van. I have just bought an ac unit with the switches on and I assume I need a heated seat module and wiring loom (kufatec maybe).
I used the Kufatec loom and you’ll also need an original control panel and relay. It was a pain to figure out which wires I needed on the Tiguan side of the plug but I got there in the end. Give me a shout if you ever get round to it and hopefully I’ll be able to help
