T6.1 Heated windscreen not working well

My 2020 T6.1 has a heated windscreen which doesn’t appear to work. It’s been into VW and they can’t find any obvious faults with it. The last vehicle I had with a heated windscreen would clear the screen in about 30 seconds. In the T6.1 if I turn off the blowers and turn on the heated...

    OEM vs aftermarket windscreen

I had my windscreen replaced with pilkington. I was fine with that until I wasn’t. It’s the same company but not the same glass. The cabin is more noisy after the windscreen replacement. The heated lines as are not the same anymore. Not very pleased.

Correct Arial connection/s for a dab radio help please

Hi Bobby welcome to the forum. The windscreen stick on Ariel should be all you need. It needs to be fitted properly to work as part of it attaches to the metal frame. Also you got any idea what a jobby is up here in Scotland? :slow rofl:

    Aftermarket Fog light kit issue

Yes, no sensor on the windscreen means it's aftermarket and won't be able to do anything with it via diagnostics

    Locking and unlocking alarm chirp

It’s definitely high up just under the passenger side of the windscreen. I checked it yesterday. Seems to be a sealed unit and it’s in a hard to get to location. Looks like you need to take the wipers out to get right into it.

    Windscreen Replacement Cost

Steep, yes, but probably par for the course in the current climate and unlikely to be related to your windscreen claim.

    Exuberant wipers!

Hello I recently bought a 2018 T6 Startline. The windscreen wipers seem to get arried away and there is a clunking sound as if they are hitting something at the extremeities of their sweep, either along the bottom of the windscreen or when they get to their furthest vertical point. Particularly...

    Wash & Wax Time . . . . . . But Which One And How?

...and hid a good amount of the light swirls, and lessened the deeper swirls. Anyway, I now need a solution to dealing with bugs on the windscreen while on a 3 week road trip. I'm heading down to the south of france/northern space so there's bound to be some proper bugs being splattered...

What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

New windscreen fitted. OK, I didn’t actually do it myself, but worth mentioning as it took the windscreen company 3 attempts to get the right screen in stock. Pete

    What could this be.......

Leaving stood/unused for 5 months, parked on an incline

A mains charger on a timer set to run for say, 5 hours every 2 weeks, would be an alternative to a solar panel in the windscreen. So long as you have access to a plug socket.

    What Have You Bought Today?

Actually, those would be the ones I'd be interested in - got Vanshades for all the rear windows. Still, as you say, availability and cost would be the issues.

Thanks Dave - I had the DRL bulb out and tried to get a cloth in to wipe. It does seem to be on the front, even though you can't feel it.
