Hi folks,
Appreciate there’s quite a few posts on this already but was hoping for some advice.
Had this error appear the other week “31103 - SCR NOx Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1 Catalyst 1” whilst on the motorway on my 2018 T6. Didn’t notice any changes to how the van was...
I hope its ok If I steal thread As I got same problem with my t6
Purchase van 2 weeks ago and get error same day. As show on image was 4500ml of adblue
Then 20 miles later was much less
At this moment I'm unable to drive until next month and trying to sort it out and see what its a problem...
...I might overfill now :)
I got VCDS but a dongle its a fake one and can use only up to 2015 and its showing errors but module its unknow.
33262 31103
I just buy new one this time dint bother 2nd hand as last one was fake lol will post exactly errors when will arrive.
I might as well remove...
...the end of the drive, the EML came back on which VCDS is reporting as:
23871 - EGR System
P0401 00 [236] - Insufficient Flow
and
31103 - SCR NOx Catalyst Bank 1
P20EE 00 [100] - Efficiency too Low
I think this means the EGR needs cleaning/replacing, but having been...
Interesting, mine has "blipped" the adblue warning a couple of times but in general it was just the EML light, P20EE and P204F (31103 and 33262). I can't believe VW don't know about the issue or have a fix. The dealers do not seem interested asking the question of head office. they are like...
Correct yes I had the amber emissions light present on the dash
Yeah i did wonder if that could be the case - I have a 650 mile round trip next week so going to see what it does then....could leave me stranded if the countdown starts but should see what codes are captured on the journey.
For...
This is without doubt the worst vehicle I have ever owned......I love it to drive and use but what a needy piece of crap!!!! Shame on EU rules and VW!
So I have changed the engine after using oil and water.....I also changed the DPF as it was blocked.
Currently the Van has 800km on the new...
...it's now a historic one and thus no need to show it any more on OBD generic side?? See the statuses PENDING, CONFIRMED on the other codes.
31103 (VW specific code)- aka P20EE (Generic OBD code)
Well, this is interesting one - with updated engine software.
I'm not sure if this the actual...

Index of next requested engine mode: 0
Index of engine target mode: 0
31103 - SCR NOx Catalyst Bank 1
P20EE 00 [01100100] - Efficiency too Low

...had at least 4 attempts at a repair. also got the P204F which is relevant and 33262 which again VW don't recognise
they wont recognise the 31103 code and the P20EE is a generic capture-all SCR error. If you have erased error codes they wont be stored (I made that mistake early on) and they...
...did the cam belt etc on my T5.1, so I may get him to check it over before it goes back to the dealers.
The EML fault code is the P20EE and 31103, both shown through Carista. The EML came on one Sunday so called the dealers first thing on the Monday to be told that as I had cleared the fault...
Well, the missing freeze frame data made be believe that the faults were not actually cleared. Also I have noticed that it takes some time/driving (50 miles minimum) to get the 31103 fault registered again after clearing it.
Hello buddy, have used both methods, usually B.
Will have a read through that other thread. I think the first thing to do would be to change out that glow plug or check the wiring.
Do you know if any of the guys on here have a full breakdown of how to get to the glow plugs?
...well broadcast message sent by method (a) thus fails to clear faults.
In my experience better use method (b) on T6.
They are all separate.
31103 is a thing in the past - it doesn't have the freeze frame data which means it's gone a long time ago.
For 15560 check these...
