Just for info. Actually this problem was solved by VCDS 23.3 (My previous version was only until Byte 23). In Byte 27 - bit 0 I ticked the box "Licence plate bulbs LED" and then all 5 errors disappeared from BCM memory and its still clear.
They come with standard bulbs but missing the side light bulbs. One mark on the offside headlight, see photos. £25 for the pair, collection only from Gloucester.

For those that have the transporter HQ headlights with the LED option, is there enough heat given off to melt off and snow or ice over winter? On my old defender I had to use LEDs with an inbuilt heater in the lense to keep them clear, so just weighing up whether to go LED or H4/7.
To expand on the previous answers, the H7 headlight is the complete headlight unit mounted in the van. Lenses, reflectors and all.
It's quite straightforward to swap, the hardest part is finding a decent set for decent money but they're certainly out there.

Hi. Don’t know if you could give me any advice too, I have the same problem, the DRL On the near side has gone out with the warning light now on the dashboard, behind the light is the battery. I took this out but the bulb seems to sit below which I couldn’t get access to. The van was in vw...

Hi all. Just swapped H4 for some H7s.
Similar to most - I can get low beam OR high beam but not both.
my local VW specialist thinks they should be plug and play and reading this thread some people seem to suggest they should be - but lots of references to coding the headlights so both beams...
Depends on your headlights. Do you have H4 (with the DRL in the large reflector near the centre) or H7 with (DRL below the low beam reflector)?
They use different but standard bulbs and can be changed with reasonable ease.
@wbuchan - as above, once you have got used to the van and enjoyed it for a while you will figure out what is most important to you.
That said... a good suspension upgrade would always be right up at the top of my T6 wish list, as improvements to the wallowing stock suspension on my camper...
