    Top tip for running cable

 Yeah, common way of doing it. You can get the rods from Screwfix etc or more flexible ones that are used on bikes with internal cable routing (a mechanics nightmare!).

    Best place to run cables

Is there anywhere at the rear to run cables into the back of the van from the rear, into the drivers rear quarter panel ? Re-converting our van and at some point someone has ran some cables up through the gas vent near the rear wheel arch where the gas cupboard was. We are going induction...

L/Battery - go large or go lithium?

What is the CBE circular component those spade connectors are attached to? What is the routing of the cables from the MPPT to the LB? It looks almost certainly like a wiring issue.

    Help with Kenwood 8021DABS fitting

Ok, three questions from your photos 1. Where did you route the mic? 2. Do you have a MFSW as I don't have that cable that is next to MIC? 3. Where did you route the USB-C cable? In the below YouTube, the guy calls it the yellow "media cable" at 6.08

    I can't find a hole

Good evening, I want to run power from my inverter, located under the drivers seat, to a socket I've installed in a panel in the back. I'd hoped, once I got the b pillar plastic off, that there'd be an obvious route to the channel under the matting. Am I OK to make that small hole bigger that's...

My full electrics upgrade project with a long inverter cable run

So progress has been made on the install at last. I’ve moved the amp from the drivers seat to the passenger seat. I managed to get it to fit at the front if the enclosure that the sub is mounted in. I re-routed the audio cables over to the passenger seat and ran a new 16mm2 cable to power the...

    Cable route advice please

I am trying to figure out the best way to route cables from under my drivers seat base (which will have various bits of kit installed) to the void in the side panel behind the B pillar and then along the void to an electrical compartment under my furniture. I am wondering about drilling a hole...

    TallPaul's Caravelle - MTB wagon!

Had a delivery today of some of the cable I need and some other bits. Tentatively started to connect the 16mm² cables for the Orion XS so I could try and figure out some of the cable routing. Not going to lie, it's going to be tricky. But then, the 50mm² main battery cable (& inverter...

EHU cable-run in to cab area.

My van has a cable from the starter battery through the bulkhead into the passenger footwell (for the dc-dc charger).. I want add an electric hook up under the bonnet. Before I start taking the van to bits I was hoping if someone can tell me if there are 2 rubber grommets that can be used into...

Cables from engine to under seat- under gearstick

As above. Once you get the floor up you'll see the various cable routes and most of these will have room for another cable or two. Remember to protect the cables where they pass through the bulkhead.

    Cable run route camper

Hi, I have searched the forum and whilst there are many cable run threads I can’t see one for this. I want to add some LED lights in the tailgate of an already converted camper with a pop top. The leisure battery is on the offside and there is a fuse box in the upper part of the “wardrobe” on...

Cable route - seat base to void under window between B & C pillar

At the top left corner of where you removed that panel is a route through to inside the B pillar, from there you can feed down and then out where the seat belt is. then follow the OEM wires under the seat.

Is there a route from the OEM loom in the roof space to behind the panels?

Thanks, yes the panel is just connected with hidden clips.

My full electrics upgrade project with a long inverter cable run

Given 120mm2 cable is about 2cm in diameter, i.e. absolutely huge, have you thought about the physical aspects of routing and terminating it? The bend radius alone will make it extremely difficult to get around anything approaching a corner I would have thought?

    Top tip for running cable

Any bright ideas where to route the cables into the engine bay? I was thinking to just drill and grommet that plate behind the battery. Probs with plenty of gooey stuff too

F770 dashcam - how to find power supply? Would like to make sure it's connected to leisure battery

Thanks chaps, I couldn't find a spade to fit the top 12V fuse socket so I'm taking the more recommended route and running a wire to the leisure fuses under the passenger seat. Waiting for piggy back to arrive as none of the free fuse sockets under passenger seat are wired to anything, so I need...

Best route for rear camera cable in fully converted van ?

I’ve had a search and can’t find any info on the best route in a van that’s fully converted with the kitchen, high kitchen units and pop top. I’d rather get some advice before I start removing panels etc. I don’t know whether to go up or down with it. It’s a LWB with barn doors. Anyone done...
