Fitted the alpine CE2100RD camera. Mounted it to the spoiler so that i can keep an eye on the bike rack.
Routing the cable was fun. Small hole in high level brake light to feed the camera cable. Routing it down the barn door following the brake light cable and then behind the door lock...
Gracias! @Rioja John . The photos and description you've attached are really useful. Any tips for routing the cable from the starter battery in the engine bay to the box? I've got a T6.1 SWB Shuttle. Thanks
My EcoFlow Alternator Charger has arrived!
Very well packaged and well built, a quality feel to the unit and cables. The Cable required to run to the battery is pretty thick to say the least, so will need some careful routing.
Thinking I may site the unit under the passenger seat.
Hope to get...
And,
Do I even need to run cables through that route!?
If there is already cables connecting scr leisure (it’s located next too) and starter, can I not just introduce amt12-2 in there somewhere?
Something like this do the trick for Single-Core PVC Auto Cable 17.5amp 2mm? How much will I need? If I were to add the SB would I just need more of the same cable to route through to the SB? What connector types do I need? Thank you all
So I bit the bullet and invested in the narrow unit and I am pleased I went for the narrow as I can place my fridge in the void and routecables through the bottom of the drawer. All looks perfect
I would say that cableroute from the lower dashboard fuse box to under the passenger seat is pretty straight forward though, and would just involve going under the rubber mat, which you can pull up quite easily from the passenger footwell.
I have in hand a new toy - 100w Renogy folding solar suitcase, and Victron MPPT 75/15 ready to set up (thanks to some great advice from here)
Does anyone have good routes to run the leads to outside? My battery is underneath the drivers seat, and the most obvious location for the MPPT is...
Finished off installing the CTEK DC to DC charger under passenger seat to replace OEM SCR (T6.1 with factory leisure battery). Was going to fit Victron after some Forum recommendations but wanted ability for Solar and the CTEK is one unit, plus I got a great Trade price on one so went for it...
If you follow the cables from the starter battery you should find a cableroute there behind the glovebox

I have just had my ecoflow 800w alternator charger delivered, will let you know how I get on fitting it, any help would be appreciated but I understand it's quite simple, the only issue will be routing the cable.
I’ve done exactly as you suggested, I’d guess it would be easier to route the cables before carpet but that would still be after sound deadening and insulation. If you are fitting ply panels then you have quite a bit of flexibility behind them anyway. The other through is cable is pretty cheap...
The Victron 240v blue smart charger comes with the cables, has a quick connector and has two sets of battery connections-crocodile clips and ring terminals. They also sell a plug in extension cable.
I’ve located my charger under the floor in the void where the o/s step would have been then run...
Same fault code, same broken cable. Charge cooler was changed a couple of weeks ago so I guess it was due to slight change in cable / pipe routing when that was done. Love this forum - saved me hours of stress.
Found a route from the centre of the console to the left hand A pillar. Remove the trim and route over the passenger door. Then into the channel.over the left slide door. My van has lights all along here which pop out and provide access. Then a rod from the rubber tube hole forward to pick up...
I need to buy some cable to run from the starter battery to the area around the drivers side wheel arch.
I think the run will go into the van behind the leisure battery, under the seats and up the drivers b pillar then across below the window height and out through the panel above the wheel...
Wind deflectors - going on tomorrow morning
Wolfbox Dashcam - I am procrastinating with as I am scared to wire in to the reverse light cable, if I can even figure out how to route to it.
THQ replacements bulbs - yet to be delivered
