I run those exact Black Rhinos 235/65/17 Falken Wild Peak since November and no issues at all in wet , dry, motorway and a smidge of snow . Same 110bhp manual SWB T6.1

I currently have: Bola CSR 19", gloss black, mint condition. Front - 8.5, 5x120 ET35 , 255/40/19 Rear - 9.5, 5X120 ET40, 275/40/19 Pilot sports Tyres with loads of tread left I would like the following or similar: OZ Rally Raid in gloss black, 17x8 ET35 235/65/17

The 235/65/17 tyre has a rolling circumference that is 6.37% bigger than your existing tyre and your van would ride 23.5 mm higher, this is a significant difference. I would expect that to have a negative effect on performance and fuel economy...

How do you know what width tyre will fit? I am looking more at the swamper look so was thinking 235/65/17 as that seems a popular choice but how do you know they fit this wheel?

Mine is a T6.1 Caravelle on 18” VW alloys but not sure if I can get any 18” BFG’s to fit them - was considering the 17” Davenport’s as the wheels are cheap but look ok. Any suggestions would be welcome as the current Bridgestone tyres are neither any good in the dry or the wet and only last 8k!

I have 235/65 17 AT3s and a 30mm drop. No issues at all. Believe I could get another 10mm lower without issue too. I wouldn’t go 245/65 17 as would throw the speedo out too much and I believe rub.

Hi all, sorry if this is the wrong thread for this post. I'm looking to purchase some Tomahawk Kato 17s fitted with Cooper AT3s 235/65/17. The van is lowered on Stance + coilovers but havnt a clue by how much. Currently have 255/40/19 fitted. Will I struggle? Any help is appreciated! TIA

As mentioned earlier in this thread, the 235/65/17 actually corrects the oem speedo error on the T6 (and I assume T6.1) so that it matches GPS exactly. It may not be necessary to do anything on the T5.1 either and that size is chunky looking enough to suit many of the AT tyres available.

Hi. No issues that I have come across. Using a little more fuel, but not much more. I have done a mix of short drives and long motorway distances. I also have towed a fairly big caravan for over 300 miles this summer. Hope that information helps.

Good job ! Not sure if the plastic spare wheel undertray is smaller on a T6.1 4mo but 235/55/18 fits in a standard T6 kombi inflated no problem. 245/65/17 and it needs trimming though as it’s 35mm bigger on the diameter.

Put these on mine a few days ago. 235 65 17 yokohama GO15. The wheels are satin black Devonpor's. So far going well. A little softer ride than with the original standard tyres. Speedo is just about correct.
