    I've ordered one and am keeping fingers crossed that it will be a simple fit. (Fairly serious lack of space under the drivers seat where i will need to install it to save running cables!) @Dellmassive & @BoroBoy - Did you put anything more sophisticated than a BM2 for monitoring the 100%...

My issue is that I have rather ‘brutish’ 16mm2 sized cable going to into the Victron DC-DC charger and I haven’t left very much slack on the run...

    Hmmm. I might call in to Ablemail and have a chat with them, as I only live a couple of miles away. I could get him to check my install and setup and then I could give some feedback on here. Why didn't I think of that when I was not working last week.

    Lead acid batteries are optimised for broadly two uses; either for providing very high current for a brief period (starter) or low current for a long period of time (leisure). Any battery isn't like a fuel tank, you can never fill a battery back up to where it was as it's a chemical reaction...
