Can the EGR be mapped out and the DPF left in operation?

Currently investigating oil loss and paid for oil consumption test CXEB engine 204 Sportline registered February 2018 . Also lumpy start and occasional stall after engine is hot.

I suspect that most on here are, where possible, taking precautions to minimise the risk of DPF issues - like avoiding lots of short journeys.

I’m planning on getting my dpf professionally cleaned soon. Mileage 137k miles 204 biturbo Cxeb engine. Not based on any mechanical knowledge just the evidence that a blocked dpf will destroy the turbo, for me it seems a no brainer to spend £210 to prevent a £5k turbo bill.

...response, above 2k rpm it takes off like a rocket. Overfueling symptoms? No noticable issues sitting at 60-70mph during regen, only if regen is still occuring at low speed. Once DPF regen complete, normal running resumes, still achieves 39-40mpg cruising on motorway no problem. Thanks, Lee

Where did you source the DPF? As far as I’m aware no smoke (soot) should get through the DPF.

Thanks for that, just need the egr flow rate. Wonder if there is a sensor or if it calculates it some how.
