    Manual or DSG?

Only because the DSG does it for you, though you do select them, particularly when reversing!

    DSG Rolling Forward In Reverse

Just reviving this again, did you get any feedback from the dealers about this. I’ve noticed this, it’s a very odd quirk. I’d expect when engaged in reverse it should only travel backwards, mines rolling easily a couple of feet.

    Manual or DSG?

Can I speak up for manual boxes! We ordered our van specifically with 6 speed manual, I’ve nothing against auto/dsg but just prefer choosing when and where to change gear. The only thing I’ve found with previous dsg is the slight ‘prod’ needed to get moving, especially in reverse, very personal...

Can I stop Creeping with DSG?

When moving off up a steep hill, at idle speed, there is not sufficient engine torque to 'creep' and it will roll back. If you hold the brakes a little longer with a bit more pressure, hill start assist will engage. This will prevent roll back.

    DSG jerking/snagging

I have recently picked up a T5.1 from a salvage auction, unable to test drive it, but went in with my eyes wide open expecting to find 'something'. Looks like the reason it has mades its way there is DSG related (obvs it hasn't been written off because of the gearbox, but whoever owned it...

    DSG advice

I can't say I've noticed too much of an issue with any of my DSG vehicles going forwards. They don't tend to creep as readily as a conventional auto, so do need a bit more throttle. I understand that torque is reduced in reverse, so more throttle is needed then. I need to go over a lip...

    No reversing lights

What gearbox have you got - manual or DSG? Is the van a camper conversion (particularly with a poptop)? Have you got a tow-bar installed? Have you got a dash-cam or any additional reversing lights installed? Can you do a code read? What bulbs are installed - halogen? Are the tail lamps standard...

    T6.1 new order delays

Hello all, To update, my van arrived at the dealer today, a little later than expected, so more in line with the 15 months total wait for a LWB. Not only this but the bill seems to include no increase, so still getting a 15 month old discounted price. Feels like I've won the lottery! Plus free...

Bognor Motors TVS + REVO remap

Here's another happy customer for the TVS DSG update. Thanks @BognorMotors . The van is much more responsive, and no more droning at about 1100 rpm in 7th and/or hesitancy to start off from 1st or in reverse. Now actively considering the ECU remap as well. IMO, an ECU remap is not for more...

    Handbrake too low.

I didn’t know you could do that on Carista. Just changed mine and it seems much more surefooted as I always had a roll (both in drive and reverse), before the DSG got its act together.
