    Rodent damage

Can I tag on to this a bit late, but I've just spent almost £800 having adblue bits replaced due apparently to rodent damage. I've invested in some repellant tape, but just need to know how to access the wiring. Any pictures would be a massive help

EML and AdBlue message. Advice please

...original problem was not created by overfilling. When I had these lights come on I was told by Vw it was ok to drive and to check for rodent damage, and as predicted I found wires were chewed through underneath the van. As stated I would take out some adblue so the sensor can reset but check...

    Reductant fault

I would agree, i think thats referring to the adblu tank heater Could be an issue with the heater or the wiring associated with it as it is down low and possibly susceptible to physical or rodent damage

    Reductant fault

This will most likely be rodent damage to the wires that supply the trace heater that wraps around the pipe between the AdBlue tank and the delivery nozzle in the exhaust. It's a crawl under the van job to see. Another member had the same thing.

    Rodent damage

hi folks, I’m new here but hoping you can help. Just took the van in for its first service, and it wasn’t good news... Garage noticed some chewed wires that are attached to the exhaust. These apparently link to two sensors, and will cost over £1000 to fix. They are saying they can’t replace the...

    Reductant fault

I have a EML on my dash in my 2017 T6, A guy up the road plugged in his diagnostic tablet and its got a fault showing reductant heater open circuit. He’s tried resetting it and it comes back. Does anyone know how to fix it or where I should look? I’ve checked all the fuses and they seem ok

    Reductant fault

I’ve looked at all the wiring that’s under the front carpet and it seems damaged free, I rang VW Stoke and they said they need to put it through a diagnostic which will cost £110 plus vat

    Adblue sensor issues

Hi All, I am sure this has been asked a million times so apologise in advance if it has. I did check through the other forum notes but could see anything about this particular issue. So we bought our new T6 yesterday and were on our long drive home. I stopped at the services for a quick...

EML and AdBlue message. Advice please

Thank you for understanding that I only added Adblue when the light told me to. It clearly didn't need it and caused me to overfill. It seems to be some sort sensor issue/reset to do with remap. Remapping was incredibly helpful. On my way back from Wales with adblue light counting down...

...out the filler neck) Try a battery OFF reset - https://www.t6forum.com/threads/full-van-ecu-reset-capacitive-discharge-how-i-done-it.13730/ Then if it didnt clear to then check the Adblue Loom under the van as its prone to Rodent damage due to something in the cable coating that attracts...

[RESOLVED] Stuck in France!! AdBlue sensor

...France for a holiday. Prior to service I had the oil light on on the display although level was fine, this turned out to be because of rodent damage to cables which they replaced for £250ish. I get over to France and get the adblue warning (650 miles left) no problem there I thought, I’ll...

would need to see a proper diagnostic readout from VCDS or other. (cant you get this from the Indy garage?) if it was saying the oil sensor was iffy you would have a much more detailed report. short to ground, short to supply value out of range implausible signal current or logged fault...

EML and AdBlue message. Advice please

Thank you very much for this. It seems to have been some sort of sensor issue/reset to do with remapping. Remap guy was incredibly helpful - understood it was overfilled due to warning sign and advised me to drive back to London as long as no red lights to use up overfill. 100 miles into...

    Rodent damage

I would try wrapping them in self amalgamating tape if the sensors weren't giving any engine management lights on the dash, rodents usually stop chewing when they get through the insulation to the metal conductor. At a grand it's definitely worth looking to see if the inner conductor is...

    Rodent damage

...to suck it up given my level of technical expertise. Just frustrating that the wire can’t be replaced separately to the sensor. Anyone got any tips on avoiding future rodent damage? It’s just in the street outside my house. I haven’t seen any rats there, but that must be where they got at it.
