Hi
First time Caravelle owner. Got myself a nice 6.1 for our family of 3 children having moved up from a S-Max.
Couple of questions regarding storage as it appears less developed than the S-Max.
1. Am I missing a hidden compartment in the dash!? Where do you put coins, pens and other things...
If I’m honest the car I’ve got at the moment has all the bells and whistles. Do I actually used?…nope. Also more to go wrong and more expensive when it does!
As long as it’s got AC, and Apple car play I’m happy.
Been looking for a while for the right spec van, it's just popped up but it's the 110 5 speed. Vans not for work or camper , just kombi conversion. My boy racer days are over , I've got a 5.1 caravelle 140 6 speed at the minute. Will I regret buying the 110?
Thank you CAB for all that information, I was thinking that VAN = VAN and CAR = CARAVAN ..........(that thinking got me nowhere in the Vivante World of Batteries) so now I know to keep it on VAN, yes I did notice that CAR was lower than VAN but still in green. It was good of you to post about...
Well, after some time, I’ve managed to install the new Fogstar 105 all snug under the driver’s seat and tidied up the wiring and installed the Ablemail AMT12-2. I’ve not fully commissioned it yet as I have to set the profile on the Sterling and the profile on the MPPT to LiFePO4.
I thought all...
If the mirrors are electrically controlled (fold/heated) that will cost ya. Reading through the post though, I don't think Startline has those (problems in the future) features.
So, I’ve had a nightmare. When I slowly heated and twisted the plastic section I tried to put the replacement DSG stick on and it wouldn’t slot on properly where by the rear section would allow the gearstick to move. After a couple of attempts I ended up snapping the plastic
I’ve grafted on...
Basically what I am trying to say is,
The Leisure battery (VAN) is probably fine not being charged, but charging it will extend it's life;
The vehicle battery (CAR) will have low current drains (alarms etc.) and can run low if not used for a few weeks.
Got mine done
All front and sides
Same material as the post above
Has a really nice shine to it which will last a long time
Did it for exactly the same reasons as yourself and mine had 400miles on it at the time
Not planning on changing the van ever - is a third vechicle for us
Cost much more...
Hi, I fitted the H7 & H1 THQ LEDs this week. WOW, what a difference. The road is fully illuminated, my headlights are as good as the proper LED headlights in my Audi. Very impressed and I can now see in the dark.
Now, this is what I do.
1. Get two BM2 battery monitors
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Battery-Monitor-Campervans-Compatible-bluetooth/dp/B08VHMJYXY/
One on each battery. Gives you a much better indicator of the state of the batteries.
2. Get a CTEK MXS 5.0 or similar smart charger with a 12v...
