So, I procured some square tube from B&Q and set to work to see if I could install an E-track into the rubber padded floor mat.
Here is the process:-
1. Roll the floor mat back to understand the floor pan
2. Cut in a slot for the square tube at the rear and bolt in the square tube to the...
No definitely not I use jct600 Hull VW van centre and they are absolutely spot on I even get the master technician there to do some work on my other vehicles in his own time I can’t fault them
Installed extra set of Kombi floor brackets so I can move the 3 seater bench back a row - makes inside so much bigger
Still got to buy and fit the seatbelts - my van is a factory Kombi so has the captive nuts top and bottoms so it is just a case of fitting them and cutting a slot in...
Evening Matt, I can’t help much with the captains seat. But I did purchase mine from eBay.pl (immaculate condition and hand delivered by a company from Poland. Expensive though). It’s as simple as unbolting the bench seat and bolting down the new captains chair. You will need to purchase these...
Loads of bolt covers on ebay like these...
20PCS 19MM CAR ALLOY WHEEL NUT BOLT COVERS CAPS CHROME SILVER + 2X REMOVAL TOOLS 8778276190269 | eBay
You need 19mm. I tried to find a set that came with caps suitable for locking wheel nuts. Unfortunately these only seemed to come with the 17mm caps...
Hi Kev, I am potentially interested in these. I was wondering if you could take a few pics of the wheels looking accross the side of them so I can see how deep the concave is. Also , what are the offsets on these wheels please. Thanks Matt
12.9 volts is about the most you will actually get when your battery is not charging. If its on charge or engine running (hence charging through alternator) - it will show about 14.4 volts - but its standard for this to drop straight away when off charge.
As for your battery connection - the...
Do you mind me asking what you put on your van instead. I’M looking for ideas while I’m waiting for my T32 Kombi 6.1, quite a wait yet, due April 2022.
Hey I am selling my Original hardly used T6.1 Highline 16” Alloy & Hancock Tyres.
I have just had my van and had some new alloys and tyres so no longer needed.
Covered approx 7k from new. VW T6.1 Alloy wheels 16" with Hankook tyres 205/65 R16C Tyres.
The alloys are free from scratches or...
Ok, so I’ve completed the armrest fitting on the outside of the 1+2 seats in my T6.
HERE is the obligatory warning info first.
The standard armrest fits ok-ish on the single seat ( the one with flip-up rear access ), but on the rear double seat it is an excessively tight fit against the door...
How did you get on? David
My kombi is only 6 months old. Drives me nuts. I bought some lithium grease so will grease everything in sight
I've also had leather seats done, on the standard seats. Squeaked before leather was fitted though
The mounting holes will be there anyway. You'll need the nuts/mounts (non-captive) that the bolts go into though. If you do have plugs as mentioned they may be screwed into these nut/mounts, but they'll drop out onto the chassis covers/heat shield when you undo them.
Cheers for that, I have seen them on various sites but some say they can be undone with mole grips, so looking for a lock nut with a shroud/cover to stop scumbags getting to the lock nut itself
Any time mine goes in - which isn’t often now as they just break something that was fine, they tell me I must have a brake fluid change as it’s been over two years… I have a receipt from the saying they changes it at the last service. When I ask them for my money back from that they say why, we...
Hi, I used the missus lipstick (no chance she’s reading this so I’m safe still) and covered the circle round the inset nut, then placed the spoiler in the van, the lipstick transferred to the van and marked where I needed to drill. Worked a treat and officially I have no idea who had been in the...
I've waited a fair while to share this knowledge as I was doing a good trade in seat upgrades last year and, having refitted covers to 20-odd single seats, I'd learn some tricks of the trade.
Unfortunately I now have a proper back problem so I am moving to more sedate business options and so I...
