Hi all,
Just wondering where you fellow disklok / stoplock / pedal lock etc owners keep the key?
Although practical it doesn't seem to make sense to me to keep it on the set of keys, in case the whole bunch get nicked.
Is stashing it somewhere in the van a bad idea?
I've had a Disklok [small] for about 15yrs now and used it on several different vehicles. Delighted that it fits my T6 as it definitely seems a good deterrent..had invested in this after my then '91 Mini classic had been nicked from outside home. I couldn't understand how at the time, as it had...
...wise without one and/or can go with a insurance option that provides one in the price if that works out cheapest.
Going to get:
* A gold disklok
* A wheelclamp (likely bulldog euro or centaur)
With the idea that this should be enough to put most thieves off and move them further along the...
I find the Disklok a doddle to get on and off... at least now I've had some practice... and when driving I wedge it flat on the floor, in front of and in-between my 2 front captain's seats. It's never moved, doesn't get in the way and doesn't rattle at all.
I also have an ATE pedal lock, which...
IMO the purpose of a Disklok (or similar) is to encourage a would-be opportunist thief to think again - it's not to prevent theft by a determined professional who's stealing to order. That being the case, having my key on the van keyring is perfectly adequate and my Meta Trak, with remote...
Theftstop Bear lock. It's a lock that locks the shifter into park or 1st gear. It is fitted under the centre cover so you only see the keylock. I also have that huge steering wheel disklok. I have considered the Ghost but it may invalidate your warranty, they advised me to check
@techdojo You need the small disklok for a T6.
I've had brilliant service buying direct from company rather than trying to save £2.50 and going to Amazon ;)
Disklok - The UKs Strongest Steering Wheel Lock
STOLEN! T6 4motion
My van was stolen from Northwood Street in the Jewellery Quarter Birmingham last night whilst we were having dinner (7-9pm)
It is a 2019 VW Transporter Startline 4motion (68 reg plate).
No sign of glass on floor and had a silver disclok on the steering wheel so can only...
...Managed to store a lot of the usual crap, few basic tools, straps etc in the wings around the unit keeping the main draw free. Admittedly the disklok could go in the drawer but hate things rattling around. No space around wheel arches unfortunately.
Anyone fabricated a housing or easily...
Following on from another thread re storing a Disklok I thought I would ask if anyone had modified or tweaked their Ovano system to meet their needs. Any additions, bolt ons, tips for loading out. Tips for use.
These seem very very popular for obvious reasons
I quickly set up a golf umbrella...
Disklok every time,
I joke that if I am not within touching distance of the van then the disklok is in place.
Highly visible so I reckon it's a great deterrent, the toe-rag eyeing up your pride and joy doesn't know what else you have installed that they cannot see.
Only takes seconds to put...
Ours is a disklok and it works well for us and as advised by a fellow T6 forumite it stores really well if pushed in flat in between the two front seats under the handbrake hope that helps
