Exrac 120,000 miles when the vans been sitting it can take over a minute before you can feel drive engage. Reverse is ok. It is noisy at gearbox ‘faint rattle’ when driving! goes up gears ok but snatches a bit coming down on 5th 3rd . Any thoughts? Oil service has been done
I've just bought an exrac t6.
I've been told the rac t32s have uprated Suspension. Not sure if that's springs and dampers.
The ride is awful. Very boaty and the steering seems really light.
It's going to be a work van but won't be carrying no more than 100kgs at time.
I'd like it a bit lower...
Looking to buy a set of H&R 40mm lowering springs for my exRAC T 32 but not sure if I’m right in selecting kit D? Also is there anywhere people can suggest that doesn’t charge £16 delivery like Vanstyle? Thanks
2016 plate T6, 94k - same here - replaced the EGR, drive shafts/stub shafts (that is more likely exRAC related!), drivers door control unit (again prob RAC related), the alternator, aux tensioner, front main oil seal.... and an expensive air con pipe that got trapped and chaffed which...
We have a 2017 exRAC van that has done around 133,000 miles, the service history printout said that the engine was changed at 101,000 miles.
I have to fit an alternator this week and wondered if the toothed belt and water pump needed to be done whilst I have the van in service mode?
Hi @BognorMotors when you say replacing the full suspension is that everything that’s listed here? Mines a T32 2018 T6 so just want to confirm this will be a straight swap from the ex-RAC set up I have on there at the minute. If so then @Kev.O I will take them
Mine same my head unit not working and looking for swap as well, finished clean up of my exrac stuff and will look into reverse camera and etc with head unit was thinking about halo 9 alpine but not yet as too expensive
Other what i was looking its to replace top mirror as not working and look...
I don't believe so. The folks that fit the vans out for the RAC were kind enough to provide the forum a general schematic.
Have you found this thread?

Please be kind as I maybe asking a silly question. I wondered if I could connect a hook up via the jump start socket in the front grille left in situ exRAC
Hi all,
I'm about to fit the floor to my ex-RAC van, and there's a couple of bolts that stand proud holding some kind of brace.
I just want to double check that this is some remnant from the RAC (presumably to solidify the floor where their equipment was) and not some structural member before...
Welcome to the forum. The search function will be your best friend for questions relating to an ex-RAC build.
Also, don't forget to post pics when it arrives.
