You can go down that route, but will just keep happening and more expense. It’s an absolute garbage design, most of time it doesn’t get hot enough to burn away the crap and deposit it. Mine was solid inside and no saving it.
So options are, buy a new DPF for the exact same to happen or delete it.
Hi, Just thought....Is your own phone paired to the stereo when you try to delete the old phones?
I deleted the old ones on mine and it didn't say anything about confirming with them.
I'm guessing the stereo doesn't know which one you want to use??
A little update on this, and I'm as confused as ever
Apparently there is no egr delete kit available for my EGR which is the same part as used on the T6.1 and crafter.
Does anyone know any different?
Below is my reply from darkside developments.............
You have EGR part number...
Did anyone get to the bottom of this. Mine has the same issue, had egr deleted. Checked blanking plates and all fine. Tried to check as many hoses at possible and can’t see any problems. Mine also won’t go above 3000rpm when you boot it.
No codes popping up.
It’s doing my head in.
Disconnect any connected phones and delete them. Then try a soft reset as above and see what happens. Failing that restore to factory settings - it’s in the main menu
The EGR was starting to fail (not fully closing).
So it has been blanked and then deleted in the software, no other mapping (for performance or whatever).
If needed, I could replace it and re-enable. This was the best option for me.
Thanks Gary!
I took the adjusters out on the drive this morning to see how it sat. It was just springs so there might be a slight rise in height if the power flex deletes were in there but it’s too low. This is with nothing in the back of the van either.
If your egr is deleted and blanked off then the codes will go away together with all your egr problems. Since mine was done my dpf regens have been same as before. I don’t do many short journeys though.
Hiya mate.
I have read loads of stuff on having it deleted and blanked off. And no one has mentioned about having any comebacks or MOT issues.
I actually parked next to someone who had exactly the same coloured van and their van registration was only one digit different. And same year and...
If I can’t get it sorted by trying this I think I’m going to get the adblue mapped out of the van.
From what I’ve been told you can just delete it from the software and it won’t look for adblue anymore.
I don't know what happened above......I seemed to have added lots of quotes somehow???.......Can't delete them either....I so rubbish with tech :rofl:
