I've smashed a wing mirror off... So should I just go for powerfold now?
I'd like to but dont want a massive expense.
I've read that on the 6.1 they're ready coded and just need the mirrors and switch. Is this the case?
Thanks in advance.
Here we have my lovely T6 in Candy White which has been a great vehicle but sadly it's time for it to go. It's wanted for nothing and is in excellent condition. I haven't seen many at this spec:
As this is my daily, the mileage will increase, currently 40k miles. Recent work has included new...
Hi. No powerfolds in stock. The wire removed from the mirror plug is not needed as the new loom gives can to the new mirror.
1x rimless and 1x rimmed in stock. Once they are gone they are gone. No signs of anymore being available
Hi @Dayoster, interested in both HBA and powerfoldmirrors any more info on the powerfolds? also can you confirm for the HBA that a wire has to be removed from the original wiring? what is this wire for?
Potentially resurrecting a thread here but I have just taken ownership of a T6 2016, registered April ‘16
It has powerfolding mirrors and will not fold on the key.
I have enabled the coding in VCDS, including comfort close, reset the windows and still nothing.
What am I missing?
Hi,
I have a 66 ref T6. It’s an ex RAC van and came with powerfolding mirrors with the switch on the drivers door. I’ve just been through the coding for auto folding on lock using Vcds, but it hasn’t worked. I’ve tried it a few times but they don’t fold on locking.
It’s done something as now...
That van was using the travelin lite kit and yes there is a difference. The travelin lite kit will always fold with just one press of the lock button without any coding required and then unfold when you unlock the van. The travelin lite option is also cheaper.
Here are the exterior shots of the van I mentioned yesterday and a recap of the work done to the outside.

Yeahs it's the OEM part numbers I'm looking for to price up the parts required
Folding mirror bases
Window motors (control modules)
And switch switch I can get easy enough
That thread is for non OEM mirrors.
You'll need electric folding mirrors, door switch and window motors (these contain the control modules for the mirror motors)
Have a read through this thread

Hi all
I have a T6 with heated electric mirrors, does anybody know what genuine parts are required to convert these to powerfolding, I know the switch on door card needs added, and I'm guess new bases with motors+control modules etc? If anybody had the part numbers would be great.
Thanks
Phil
Hello,
Disconnected the battery a couple of weeks ago to fit new leisure battery and charger etc. Removed the drivers seat as part of that.
On reconnecting the battery a number of things work differently. The mirrors no longer fold on long press and the power tailgate which didn't open from the...
