I'm looking to use my Jackery folding solarpanel a bit more and I've been given the opportunity by my shed solarpanel failing.
The Jackery panel obviously has a hard wired lead with a few connectors, one for the actual Jackery unit.
What would I need to connect the panel to the shed battery...

Due to the ever increasing number of flexible solarpanels failing, mostly due to being installed incorrectly.
I've added the install guide to the start of this thread...
its not the panel (mostly) - its the poor fitting.
that causes uneven thermal expansion, where the panel is not evenly...
The solarpanel on my van doesn't appear to be charging anymore (last 'successful' cycle was 3 weeks ago). Oddly though, when looking at the Victron app first thing in the morning, there is voltage (but no watts / amps due to lack of sunlight), but an hour or so later, there's nothing.
I...
...there was a minimal charge which gave me false hope. Later that morning when the sun had been up several hours and the panel was warmer the charge had returned to zero. From advice here and elsewhere it was evident that the panel was screwed. Removed and replaced.

I have designed what I think to be an excellent solarpanel mounting method that I first fitted to an old T5.1 I had a few years ago (see attached pictures)...
I have since improved the idea and made it more polished by neatly integrating it with Dakine roof pads which makes the whole set up...

Hi Roadtripper do you have any recommendations for high quality solarpanels? I'm willing to fork out for good ones given my requirements. Is 300 more or less the max you can get on a pop top roof? Thanks a lot.
I searched blue fusion on eBay and got a male energy supplement. Searching bluefusion solarpanels was more productive (depending on what your needs are I guess)!
Did yours come with the cig lighter connector fitted?
...hab electrics, turned off electric is to hab with isolator. Lights etc all stayed on (due to solar) BUT the readings for battery dropped to 10v
See pic?
Could this be a clue if I have wired incorrectly somewhere?! Is the 10v the shunt etc reading the solarpanels as the battery?! Any thoughts
Not a daft question.
It doesn't go anywhere.
Just like a Solarpanel that is not connected, the cells are ready to provide a current, but if there is nothing taking that current, if just sits there, ready. Doesn't cause any damage to the panel or the cells.
