    Roamer LiFePO4 Gen4 230Ah Seatbase battery -- "How I Done It" --

I don’t currently have solar and to be honest 230Ah lithium will likely last me any normal trip I do with no charging. I don’t have an inverter so basically my draw is minimal. Fridge, lights, heater, phone charging. Usual stuff. This will be to charge it at home before trips. If my missus is...

[Guide] 12v/240v Power Inverters -- How I Done It --

Fwiw. The Renogy 1000w inverter guide shows a 150A supply fuse. And 4awg cable up to 3ft. So a 150A Midi or maxi fuse might be best. Suppose they are accounting for the increase in current due to the drop on voltage under load.? It's also worth noting the Renogy recommend 100Ah worth of...

Inverter issue - urgent help required

I think I'd advise waiting until you have a known trusted multimeter and take direct readings from the batteries before doing too much detailed diagnosis. Remember all voltages used for accurate SoC need to be for a battery under no load (nothing out nothing in) and rested for a good 20-30 mins...

Twin batteries under drivers seat ?

I wouldn't be without my inverter since recognising how little power a sandwich toaster actually uses!...... Sure it is 900w, but once hot it only draw 900w for around 10% of the time. For me, taking one of these has been a game changer to allow a quick hot toasty or panini or omelette...

Twin batteries under drivers seat ?

I agree, each to their own. But we have lithium & a 1600w Sterling inverter. I wouldn’t be without the Lithium battery, but in 6 years of having the van, we’ve only used the inverter once in anger. If I was doing another van build, I wouldn’t bother with the inverter.

AC to DC Lithium Battery Charger where to place.

Good work, how are you getting on with it? Did you wire the 20A charger to your EHU so that it starts charging as soon as ehu is connected? I’m considering a similar setup. 100ah lithium, Renogy 30a DC-DC mppt, and some kind of inverter (1500w?) that will run a nespresso (1200w). Vs an...

Gasless LWB Transporter & power set-up

Is a gasless LWB transporter with induction hobs, capable of being off-grid 5-6 days (running normal low wattage stuff plus appliances like hair dryer, toaster etc in the mornings with 250W solar on roof & 1+2 seating upfront) a task which is possible without a huge loss of storage space? e.g...

    E-MTB van

If we assume that both bikes charge in 4 hours (conservative given your 3-4 hour estimate), and that they are pulling 252w together (again, conservative as they're very unlikely to pull their full rated wattage throughout the charging cycle), then we can estimate their total capacity at 252W*4H...

    [Guide] Clayton LPS II 2500 - 1kWh (leisure battery + Inverter) -- How I Done It --

Final test numbers are in . . . +++++++++++++++ i shut off the test at 12% because that's low enough for me. . . and running lithium's very low is not great for there health. so 100% to 12% in a day and a half - exactly as the numbers and estimate worked out. this box will drain itself...

Lithium Battery Ah for electric hob

If you want a double induction hob, you're looking at 1600-1800w so you'd need a 2000w inverter, and for that you'd need a battery capable of a 200a dicharge rate, which means a 200Ah battery. You'll need to look at either of the seatbase 230Ah battery options from Fogstar or Roamer.

    Induction hob recomendations

We have the Vango Sizzle double (currently £129 @ GoOutdoors) and are very pleased with it. Comes with a nice canvas carry bag which protects the surface when stowing it away. We use it in the awning, and on our recent visit to the Quiet Site in the Lakes used it in their camper's kitchen, which...

Lithium LifePo4 12v Batteries - Time For An Upgrade?

As you use EHU then a 105ah is more than sufficient. The Roamer is a good price with great feedback of their support. I have the Fogstar and it’s been brill and £299 is an excellent price as it’s normally £369. Mine has been faultless so I’ve had no need to use their support but they were very...

[Guide] 12v/240v Power Inverters -- How I Done It --

Simple answer is yes. A 1000w inverter will pull 80-100A under full load. That your AGM will be able to handle for short durations. So seeing as you say you will only use low wattage loads, and that you plan to upgrade to lithium is say you are good to go. Follow the user guide on cable type...
