As above....
I'd start by checking the inlet is free of leaves in the plenham chamber behind the starter battery.
Then remove the cabin filter under the dash and re check.
If the fan is still bad you will have to see inside the blower box and look at the blower motor.

A fan blower...
Thanks. That clears things up somewhat.
I did check out the manual but as with previous attempts to get information from it I was more confused when I'd finished than before. Interestingly the only thing I do remember is it saying NOT to leave recirculate on all the time(?)
I've replaced the heater resistor in my van as the fan didn't work on 1, 2, or 3 only 4! I learnt it was a common problem and could be fixed in 10 minutes for just a few quid. A quick watch of YouTube and I was confident I could sort the problem. Change out of £4 on ebay and I had the...
Further to the above they replaced the resistor pack and blower motor to fix the 1,2,3 fan issue too. The fan now works but no air comes out of the central, footwell or window vents, only left and right ugh.... Trying to contact them today to get the van back in. Also found a loose bolt in...
What they say it true about aftermarket stereos. The adaptation boxes don't support every button or feature. Personally there's too many useful things in the stock head units for me to switch to a third party unit (free VW map updates, nav can direct you to petrol station when you're low on fuel...
I replaced my fanresistor pack a few months ago and after not very long the new one has also blown. Did I just get a dodgy pack or is it likely that something is causing this to blow that needs fixing first?
I've been doing smart home automation for a while now, mainly using MQTT, Tasmota, and Home Assistant.
My van is now about to get the same treatment - I've got a Teltonika RUT955 4g router which is the brains of the operation, providing an MQTT broker and VPN to my home assistant server back at...
so what's been done under warranty ?
at 36253 miles the Fan Blower resistor pack gave up.
i called out VW Assist, they fixed it the following day with a new part from TPS.

Cheapest and least hassle to fit are indeed the 200% brighter than a candle Night Breakers.
I had to modify the headlight lamp access dust caps to accommodate the cooling fan on the rear of each Led lamp and they needed the resistor pack to fool the lamp out indicator so quite a bit of faffing...
@Mcreeder that's the one I put in from justkampers.com says on the page that its suitable for T6's

May be I am lucky. Had my van from new in 2028 and had no Adblue problems so far. Keeping my fingers crossed. Fan heater resistors however is a very different story - one every 18 months both expensive and cheap ones.
If you have a chance, give the fan and rollers etc a good old clean when rummaging underneath fitting the replacement resistor. The cynic in me suspect that dust/fluff buildup maybe adding to the load
I have a Multivan 2008 and suddenly the fan from the rear started to run at maximum speed. The controls on the dashboard or on the rear top panel do not work even though I turn it off, it keep going at full speed. The only solution to stop the fan is to unplug the connection to the rear motor...
Yes I will do. Funnily enough since they put the dye in the level hasn’t dropped much?? But the air con fan 1,2 & 3 hasn’t worked since I picked the van up. Number 4 blows your head off! I know it’s the heater resistor that’s gone but the garage are going to add that to the list of jobs!!
