    Noisy Internal Heater Fan

Once you‘ve renewed the resistor pack I would avoid setting 1 as this creates the most resistor heat. I’ve been running my fan on 2 and above without issues, previously on 1 I had two instances of resistor pack failure.

H4 headlight upgrade.. but to what?

I got my LED sidelights from Halfords of all places, they're still working 3 yrs later and are a crisp 4000 Kelvin colour temperature, basically daylight white with none of that blue tint beloved of "da yoof". The H4 lamps are Novisight and were an eye watering £63 3 yrs ago, again they're...

    Battery charging through regenerative braking.

I guess it could be set at 1, but this seems to be a known cause of resistor pack failure. In a van without a bulkhead setting 1 isn’t really moving enough air to make a difference.

    T6 Aircon effectiveness

Thanks, usually my fan is left on 2. Perhaps I'm just expecting too much from the installation in a van.

    Heater issue - resistor?

Have a search on the Forum, there are at least a couple of threads regarding the resistor pack failure. It’s a quick warranty repair if you are within warranty. You won’t get any heat without the fan running as there won’t be any air flow over the heater matrix, that’s normal. After renewing...

Smart van automation remotely running fan

Sounds interesting, can you share the details on how you will control the auto start/stop as well as open/close windows and lock/unlock? I also have the basic 'climatic' A/C system which uses a resistor pack for fan speed control. There's nothing particularly complicated required to run the...

Fuse box F? Blower motor fuse

Resistor packs are pretty cheap (loads on eBay), so do that first before you go near the fan itself. Pete

    Heater issue - resistor?

Gave it a run today on the A38 and got speed up , it got warm with dial on full red but soon goes cooler when running slower ....this is without the fan on . I'am sure it used to be warmer on lower speeds .

    Fan Switch replacement

Has anyone been quoted to replace the fan switch on their transporter. Breeze have quoted me over £300 for what appears to be a burnt out resistor (a well know problem) ?

    Heater only working at maximum

No typo, the guy I spoke to went out to speak to a fitter who said that if the resistor had blown, then the chances are the fan blower would be faulty, so that would need replacing, plus fitting, hence the quote. The thing is, If I had a asked them to do it, a new fan blower would have been...

    Coolant Leak [Resolved]

Update on the van 2 So, I picked the van up on Monday and was told they've put the dye in the coolant which they have as it's orange/yellow in colour. They've told me to drive it for a month then bring it back for another round of inspections. They also fixed the leak in the passenger...
