All terrain tyres - recommendations and pictures

4motion rear diff oil change... anyone doing this ??

my 235/65 17 Falken Wildthingys are really quiet, no difference to the std 17's. I cant remember if I had mentioned this. Retro Resus did a 4motion and drive check and service for me and they always add in a drain bolt in the blank space where VW forgot to put it. They said 'sealed for life'...

The Coilovers go down to 70mm which is where they were set on installation. However, the wheelarch measurement is about 370 mm which suggests that they're currently sitting nearer 90mm.

    Are BFG K02 really Noisy?

They're 245/65r17 - my van was low, it's now been raised back up I'd recommend 23565r17 - you'll be fine lowered by 50mm, they shouldn't rub and they're only slightly smaller than 245/65 size. If you're looking at 18" then I think 255/55 is the same size as 235/65 on 17" - or 235/55 in 18"...

I also spent a long time looking into AT tyres for Winter, including green laning use. I went for 225/65 r17s, fitted onto my newly satin black powder coated Devonport Winter wheels. As I have a LWB T6 Kombi T32 I couldn’t fit the Falken Wildpeak AT3s as they are only load rated at 102 and T32s...

    VW Rocadura 17" wheels

I think - for the time being I am not going to go with these wheels, I think I am sticking with std GP steels (delivery mileage) and some 235/65 17 Falken Wildthingy's

    17” All-Terrain tyres

Hi, I am in the process of ordering some new wheels and tyres, currently have on 235/55 R18 and they have been fine but wanting to drop to 17” wheels and the website I am getting them off is recommending 235/65 R17, does this seem correct? They are packaged with the BFG trail terrain which is...

CRS - Koni Definition kit on 20's

235 65 17 Michelin CC2. Resisted the urge to go AT tyres. They look cool AF, but I do lot's of motorway driving, interspersed with light/moderate off road so wanted a "do it all" setup. If such a thing exists... I prefer the look of the LV2's, but again, practicality for me.

    17” tyre recommendations

Hello! Looking at some 17” tyres, I have seen 90% of people go for 235 width and 55 or 65 profile. Hard decision, but is there any advantages to having wider tyres? I suppose the wider the louder too.

T32 std steel wheels, and just put 235/65 17 108's on no issue, Falken Wild thingy's on a t5.1 Caravelle (I think lowered 20mm)

    Which tyres for 7.5J 18’s

@EAN Looking on "Will they fit" it shows the 235/55/18 to be slightly smaller than the 235/65/17 that I have on my T6. My tyres match GPS speed so, assuming that the 6.1 has a similar error factor then you may not need to make any (potentially irreversible) adjustments.

How much difference between 17 and 18" wheels.

I'm on 17 inch wheels with 235/65 semi AT tyres. I also have H&R anti-roll bars which, as mentioned above, are a great help. While I cannot offer a direct comparison, I've been quite surprised at how well the 17's handle. We have two other vehicles in our household which are a Kia Rio on...

17" Navis Mac-at with 235/65/17 GT Radial 4seasons tyres. I was tempted to go for Falken Wildpeaks, but these are more practical imo (maybe dont look as cool). Lowered by approx 60mm. I've literally installed these today, so I can't comment too much on the fitment etc... I've only taken it for a...
