Very common issues with the media system, yes you can change the unit to a aftermarket one, but you will lose the use of the 2x usb sockets and may lose the sos system

Sounds about right. I had an sos module replaced and it wiped everything so had to get it recoded by Bognor! Bit of a pain if I need to get that done each time something is updated. I want the infotainment updated and know the same will happen!
