...From these folk: The Best Brake Caliper Painting Service with a Lifetime Warranty
Will be fitting them early next year, with already bought Nutexa dimpled 340mm discs / pads from the nice folk @Nutexa Frictions, at the same time when funds allow for a proper suspension upgrade from the guru &...
I’ve done both and I’ve had Pagit too! The answer you are looking for is @Nutexa Frictions. Significantly better stopping ability and significantly reduced brake dust on your wheels.
Yes, my opinion is just that, my opinion! And, it is subjective too!!! I can’t tell from your pic what size...
...it in for cooler, valve and both uprated pipes. And a service.
If there’s anything left on the credit card I’ll get the brake pads changed to Nutexa cos the orange dust off the current ones is horrific.
First week off for 4 months next week and can’t do the van trip we were planning.
Good...
We only use @Nutexa Frictions for a reason. I run them on the wife's cars and my van, we've fitted them to countless customer vehicles with zero complaints.
The discs wear extremely well with them being a high carbon steel which means you actually get better value for money over the life of the...
Just spent 3 1/2 hours fitting ONE rear disc and pads using the Nutexa stuff I bought.
Plenty of plus gas was sprayed on and left and then I had the joy of one of the 12mm bolts rounding off.
So eventually had to give up conventional attempts and angle grind the head off the bolt. Then loads of...
...the whole cost was much cheaper than getting VW to do them.
It meant that the other week all I had to do for the rears was buy the discs and pads for £150 from Nutexa. (Except for the replacement caliper ‘cause one was seized. But again, because I had the stuff the new caliper was just an £80...
Oh really thanks for the heads up.. funny l also need my engine cover redoing (unfortunately both done by the same garage and the paint hasn’t lasted) love those calipers
...have magical growing brake pads !!!
rears were reported over a year ago as 90% worn, passed two MOTs since then however I have a full set of Nutexa pads and discs ready to go on. Two days after service pad back plate is just starting to kiss the lipped disc. on inspection I have about 1mm...
...we managed to get the cab sound deadening fitted in prep for the coming audio install and the garage unit and all the wiring (there was quite a bit) removed from the back of the van even squeezed on a nice little @Nutexa Frictions disc and pad upgrade all round too next suspension wheels and...
I found the rear pads (and discs) wore down quicker on my T5.1. The sticking handbrake cables was the most likely reason. Also the fronts are vented and larger, so have a higher "capacity" for braking, even though they probably do more braking effort.
Thanks for that. This might seem a daft question, but I've just had a look at your website & I'm not sure about the quantities. On the brake pad section, is an STN177 an axle set (4 pads) or a wheel set, (2 pads), the photo only shows a single wheel set. Do I need to order 1 x STN177 or 2?
...the idea of just letting it bleed out makes sense
To the original OP - I looked at Euro Car Parts etc and prices vary but in the end went to Nutexa Frictions Ltd. They are trade members on here and usually offer a discount to forum members. Have some very good reviews and their customer...
...privately or to info@dav-tec.co.uk with your name, mobile and email address on. What specification you require and exactly what you need in the package I'll pass the information to the guys at Nutexa get you a cost for everything sorted out and sent over. They're very accommodating.
Cheers
Chris
