Fixing solar panel cables to underside of Reimo roof

...them on the underside of the roof fixing them with electrical cable tie mounts (on sikaflex- I removed the self adhesive tape) and cable ties and then ran them in the spare grommet on the right side of the shut line (I had rear doors). I had to drill though into the van through the "second" skin.

T6.1 sidebar lights no longer working

Funny enough I had look today. I soundproofed my floor when I got it. Also a twin slider. My wiring it not as bad as the pic above and a neater job. I have take the step out and tested plug with a multi meter. Was showing 12v. I then looked underneath and they are actually on but very dim...

T6.1 sidebar lights no longer working

...off as I have twin slider and then lifted the matting. The Ford dicks had drilled holes to pass the wires through and had not fitted grommets which meant the wires had cut through on the sharp edges. It’s a dead easy job and you can lose about 20ft of excess wiring while you are at it. I made...

[Resolved] Leak in to drivers footwell

Exactly the same with my van, I’ve had a couple of people hose the van around the screen and drivers door area, nothing! However, rain and weirdly, a bottle of water poured over the area, and I have a leak! It’s been suggested that it’s either the windscreen or the bolts in the roof that would...

...have to measure that. Going heavy on silicone isn’t necessary: I’d maybe use a bit on the rear roof top entry hole, but it depends upon your grommet and how good it is at doing its job. Don’t forget you are outside of the canvas, so it’s not critical. Use silicone on the roof rails as per the...

Ordered piggy back spade connector and grommet. What wire would I need to ground? What connectors? Presume heavy on silicone in any drilled holes?! Really excited if I can access under shelf void! Game changer that possibly! Many thanks again.

And presume if I forsake the ‘curly cable’ solution to rear tailgate grommet, I would simply drill into pop top, install gland etc before entering wire at rear of canvas current Velcro and then drilling into top of rear wardrobe unit?

Fixing solar panel cables to underside of Reimo roof

Here's a couple of ideas. So much info on this on various threads. Bit of a minefield! Took me a while to work out how I was going to do it. I've ran mine through the velcro at the back same as the second set of pics. Another solution in the first set of pics

Heater Support Pump and Voltage error woes

...I could have soldered, but idk, seemed like a solid connection then wrapped with Tesa loom tape. I then routed the wire through the rubber grommet on the side of the ebox, and sleeved it to protect it. Routed it round the back of the battery and firewall and master cylinder the down back of...

    Drivers door adjustment.

You should be able to pull back the rubber floor matting which goes over the wheel arch and then behind this you will see a black grommet. Pull that out and you will get to the inner bolt.

Cables from engine to under seat- under gearstick

Hello I am planning on running the EHU cable and the B-2-B cable from the engine bay through the grommet in the bulkhead. I would then like to use the cable run that is on the left hand side of the drivers footwell. I have looked at the instructions about lifting the rubber floor and can see...

    Puddle indoors!

I had this problem on one of my T5's and it was the rubber grommet for the hole for the sliding door motor which my van didn't have, new bung and some sealant sorted it.
