Finally got the software updates I asked for. Wireless android auto now works and no more sos calls so far. Only problem now is sat nav does not work, spining circle with starting sat nav is displayed with the world map. Quick fix ?

The DAB aerial is in the drivers door mirror so that won't have been touched at all.. The thing on the roof is the SOS system.

The SOS issue I had has now been resolved, by VW dealer resetting the SOS Module.
