There is a known scam of the buyer opening up a dispute with the seller when they have received the item claiming they haven't received it when purchased via PayPal. This is because PayPal back the buyer 95% of the time and refund the money

Not sure but I guess donation means PayPal will not charge any fee. However if you buy something using donation you will not get any refund in case of problems buying off a trader.
Bank transfer sounds odd but charging fee is atrocious this days and no wonder traders want to avoid PayPal like hell.
