Thanks, yes Idid read a lot of that, he did a great job with the solarin Germany too, but the vans since gone I think. I would have driven to Germany if he could have moved it all across lol.
Are all these options still going to be 50% discharge? And which would you prefer if I can jam a...
i use the HIGH mode on my van when im using the long extension lead. . . as this causes some volt drop.
so the HIGH mode overcomes the volt drop so the battery charges correctly.
remember not to connect direct to the NEG battery post on the T6. - use a chassis point...
Idid search but couldn’t find anything. This link talks about using the 250 to charge the starter but it only trick charges from solar which I don’t have. Are you suggesting either get solar or disconnecting my battery charger and connect directly to the starter leaving the 250 to pull from the...
Hello again,
Well the man who jump started my van put the clamps on the positive and negative battery terminals (see photo), he was a qualified mechanic and he used a portable booster pack for source (not another car) .......was this wrong
are you using the crock clips?
or the wired quick discounects?
whatever you use, make sure you dont use the battery NEG post - use the light bracket or other chassis NEG. .
set it to AGM battery mode for the T6 starter battery.

Dellmassive Thank You I will seek out the headlight bracket bolt, and when the green light on NOCO goes unblinking green I will be able to use van again with confidence
Thank you for all the articles and info, I will read them
(I may need a new battery, it was 84% charged and 68% health when...
Due to the ever increasing number of flexible solar panels failing, mostly due to being installed incorrectly.
I've added the install guide to the start of this thread...
its not the panel (mostly) - its the poor fitting.
that causes uneven thermal expansion, where the panel is not evenly...
if the dimensions are good,
and the terminals are in the right place, then you are good to go.
the other option is the LOACH i listed above..
++++
as for drop-n voltages. - i would FULLY charge both battery's before putting them in the van, that will reduce the shock on the van when the...
Thank you! Last two questions. As per the diagram below, isn’t there already a fuse for the battery? (Red arrow) and if I just disconnected the white clips and the solar (the green arrows), this should be safe to keep the controller connected to the battery when the solaris not in use?
no, unless you get a gizmo that will trickle charge the starter, from the leisure battery.
or
you can use one charger to charge the starter battery, to the point that it turns on your dc-dc charger to charge the leisure setup - but you need a large charger and its a faily waistful way of doing...

the Renogy kit is Chinese made, like the rest of it.,
but Renogy kit is very good.
