Hi all - question about our converted T5 2009 that we have had for almost a month - specifically the electrics/charging/ECU/Leisure/solar system
Camped the other week (on ECU) and on Saturday afternoon messed about with the hand-set control panel of the 2kw heater passenger seat. It's blue...
the final option is the full leisure install.

MC4 pv connectors come on the panels.
Then you follow the male, female, male, female all the way to the controller.
You need to use a multimeter to confirm the polarity .... Connecting up wrong could damage kit.

I use the Renogy dc50s for dc-dc charging, with a lithium. (, With the app)
And even though it does solar, that splits the power 50/50 when you add a solar connection.
I use a seperate Victron mppt. As they are the best when used with the app.
I had the Orion, but sold it on, preferring to...
yes. . .
but keep the current below 6A/8A or the plug & socket will get HOT.
a 50-100W dash panel is ideal. . .
see here when i done it.

running any panel direct to a battery is not realy a good idea.
esspecialy is its not fused or has a internal blocking diode.
as you say you can run it through a solar controller to get around that problem. . .
either PWM or the better MPPT controllers. .
also on that note 20W is very low...
how have you found the anker?
I was convinced to go for the Ecoflow but upon seening the anker solix c800 plus I’m leaning towards that unit as the torch features and light seem great.
So a year on and the MTTP is still in the box....
So I just need to get my Amazon basket filled with the goodies. But just a couple of questions...
Do I need to match the cable gauge for the pre made solar cables to the tails I need to create (12AWG)

Cut the crock clips off and add a fused 12v plug.

So if this is the day you moved from your storage location into a place with better visibility of the sky you can see how much of a difference that's made to your solar yield.
An important figure to look at here is "P max" as this is the highest overall power the panel achieved. I'm assuming...
Just wondering how long the battery will last without use. My van has sat on the drive for just over three weeks over Christmas and the app was showing 12.57 volts on the battery so thought I would take her for a run, did 25 miles and back up to 12.9v, I have one of those solar battery...
On the solar spec, you need to check the VOC of the 160w panel.
The ctek has a max solarinput of 23v.
If the VOC of the panel is higher you need to use a seperate solar controller.

Idid a test fit of my massive solar panel.
I’m delighted with my choice of mounts and how they sit on the roof. They sit half an inch in from the outer raised sections on the pop top.
The panel still sits back enough from the front so should be fine for wind resistance and hopefully won’t...
No, you need at least 50w and a solar controller.

I have a 50w fold out panel for that.
With a 12v plug hacked on the end.

@hoddo - have you got a leisure system already?
charging the van with a Power pack can be done, but its not very efficient.
