Running HEAVY on 235/65/17 Falken Wildpeaks - what sort of pressures should I be considering?

I am about to do a 18 hour drive across Europe in 2 stints. Leg one non stop Calais to Zurich with an overnight stop then another non stop down the Adriatic coast. I have a LWB shuttle and it will be running very heavy up near the limit of its 3.2 capacity. The Falken wildpeaks say don't...

    Team Indium Grey

Correct not lowered, wheels are Tomahawk Kato 17" satin grey which is a close match for the van and tyres are Yokohama Geolandar A/T 235/65/17. Had 20"s on before but did really like the look or ride much. They have started gritting the roads up here already as you can see! So not much chance...

    Cross climate on T32

Do tyres for the transporter need to be specifically made for a van. I have seen some SUV tyres; Michelin CrossClimate 2 235/65/17 with a load rating of 108. I have a T32 and my last set were dedicated van tyres (continental)

    Are BFG K02 really Noisy?

Well, went for the Black Rhino Warlords with 235/65/17 wildpeaks, looks great, road noise very acceptable and handling noticeably better than 275/40/r20s so thanks for all of the input.

    Big brakes upgrade

I'm with @Sasquatch on this. My LWB T32 has the standard brakes but, even with larger 235/65/17 tyres I've never felt the brakes were lacking in normal use. Before we bought a pick up truck for towing duties, we would use the van to tow our horse box. With two horses it could be as much as...

    Downsize 20” for comfort

Hi. I’m after some recommendations for my T32 I’m currently riding with 20” (275/40ZR20) on H&R 40mm springs and love the look, however, hate the ride with the current state of the roads. I’m looking for recommendations to drop down to 18” but try and keep the look and style of the bigger...

    Falken Wildpeak on 17 or 18" ?

I will give it some tests and observe as I am sure you are right, as I said I dont pay any attention to my speedo reading unless doing things like this as I solely drive off of my Sat Nav speed.

Don’t know what it is with the Kato’s but I think they are the best 17” wheel out there. I am biased, but they just look the part. I ended up with some Michelin Agilis Climate Controls. 235/60r17. Load rated at 117. Will post pics in a month once I’m swapped out the current 18” Conti Winter...

Leighton Front End - swamper style?

I don’t have your front end but do have an aftermarket front with lip , lowered on ST-X Coilovers (CRS) with 17” Black Rhino and 235/65/17 Wildpeak AT tyres. No issues so far anywhere with access although obviously not green laning off-road but happy with forestry type car parks (non tar mac...

I was looking at 65s but couldn’t find a 103 in a known brand. Same with 60s. I’ve looked again and there are some 104s. Hmmm. Interesting. Thank you.
