    CandyVan conversion journey

Any issues raising the floor that amount? eg with side step, or rear threshold? Looks like 34mm raise from top of van floor ribs? (9mm insul + 18mm ply/xps + 5mm ply + 2mm altro ?) And how did you support the narrow slither of floor inbetween the left hand reimo rail and the side step? I'm...

    Transporter Mods Seat adapter plates

I spoke to him on Facebook........his pictures show 2 different type of bracket yet he told me he only makes one which seemed confusing. His also raise the seat by 40mm but you don't have to grind the tabs off the bottom of the seat rail, you do still have to trim the rail down to swivel the...

    Flat bottom steering wheel

This button set up works on my 2015 T6 trendline. But, as you say there are sets around that come from the polo that light up white and they won’t work with a T6 (I had a set of them first off) and sold them on before finally finding the ones that light up red. As you say there’s usually a...

Dead battery - cannot open doors t6.1

Think you may be right @Widdzuk seems a funny setup if mechanical key won't open to let you access to pop bonnet etc. Other forums suggesting vw assist and connecting supply to starter motor or alternator?! May be worth a call. There was also someone suggesting back feeding via tow bar...

    Steering Wheel is off centre

Mine was noticeably off centre when I had a flat bottomed MFSW fitted. I used this method and then had 4 wheel alignment done after. It’s worked a treat and it’s literally a 5 minute fix (as long as you can release the locking nuts). Simply adjust your tie-rod ends.

What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Yeah, not cheap. I think much of the cost is in the replacement step with the bottom rail built in. The ones for flat sided vans (not curved like a Transporter) are much cheaper. We’ve ummed & ahhd for a couple of years about buying one. Every time we’re sat on a site battling mozzies & flys, we...

New leather steering wheel cover - I’m a roofer not a sewer go easy guys

Is this link for a flat bottom steering wheel cover? I've got the exact same wheel as yours @Workper and so far i've ordered 3 of these things from different sellers and the are all suited to a flat bottomed wheel rather than a full round one - there's not enough leather to tuck in at the front...
